SUNDAY MORNING-JWS FAN OUT INTO ROME

Today at 7 am in the morning two elderly men at Termini, probably Italians were handing out the Jehovah’s Witnesses (JW) Magazine. Where were the Catholic evangelists?

All over Rome today the JW’s will fan out in groups of two or more talking about their faith. Most of them are probably ex Catholics who were once approached by a JW.

They apostatized and converted to the JW religion. Now they come to convert Catholics with a set of list of questions and answers they have prepared. They are also taught not to accept any Catholic literature.

They have a fixed list of questions which have been made public and answered by Catholic apologists. This list of questions and answers need to be made available on the websites of Catholic dioceses and parishes. In Rome.

For instance they will ask you where in the Bible is the word Trinity? Then you have to say it mentioned in different places. There is the reference to Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Why is there no Catholic missionary on the streets of Rome I ask myself?

Since, the Enemy has created a big confusion within the Catholic Church and the issue is: outside the Church there is no salvation.

When I meet The JW’s I immediately tell them I believe in the Church teaching outside the Church there is no salvation. And so you JW are outside. I refuse to accept their magazine.

If they ask  why? All you have to do is believe in Jesus according to the Bible?I tell them you yourself know that it is not true- so you insist people must enter your JW community. If all you have to do is believe in Jesus why did you leave the Catholic Church?

The Bible says the Catholic Church is the Mystical Body of Jesus.Jesus asked St.Paul,"Saul, Saul why do you persecute me?” Saul was persecuting the Church. So Jesus identified with his Church. He called the Church, “my church” and told St. Peter it will be there for all time. This should be enough to bring Catholic missionaries on the streets-but they are not trained like the JWs. The JWs knowledge of the Bible before and after their conversion from the Catholic Faith I do not think is much. They have just learnt a simple set of questions and their answers.

I often ask them where in the writings of Church Fathers is it said that St. Michael the Archangel and Jesus are one? So why do I have to accept this new teaching of the founder of their religion?

The biggest advantages for the JW’s are Catholic priests and bishops divided on the Catholic Faith.

Cardinal Bernard Law celebrates Holy Mass at St. Mary Majors, Rome and will not affirm the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. The Italian Secretary of State of the Vatican Cardinal Bertone has written that Jews do not have to convert in the present time. This is again a reject of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and Vatican Council II.

The Italian Episcopal Conference department for Ecumenism suggests that Catholics and Protestants could evangelize together in the name of Jesus. The Vicariate of Rome Ecumenical department could suggest the same. They could very well assign Catholics to join the JW’s at Termini on Sunday mornings and distribute the JW magazine Sevegliatevi. The JW magazines usually have an article on Jesus and one on the Old Testament.

If Catholics and other Christians can evangelize together it would mean the ex cathedra teaching on the need of the Church is irrelevant. It also means Christians who affirm divorce, abortion and contraception are not in mortal sin and going to Hell. They are not going to Hell because of the lack of Catholic Faith and because they are in mortal sin. So indirectly we have given up the Catholic Faith. This is a new idol of Jesus and the Church. A false idol that are being called to worship.

We need Catholics evangelizers ready to get across five points the JW s and others.

1. Every JW needs to enter the Catholic Church to avoid Hell( extra ecclesiam nulla salus, Ad Gentes 7, Dominus Iesus 20)

2. There are no exceptions to conversion into the Catholic Church.

3. There are mortal sins of faith and morals.

4. Belief in Jesus must include entry into the Catholic Church.

5. The Catholic Church is the only Church Jesus founded.

SOUTHERN POVERTY LAW CENTRE: ACCORDING TO VATICAN COUNCIL II ALL JEWS IN BOSTON ARE ORIENTED TO HELL

The Jewish Left Southern Poverty Law Centre, which is pro-homosexuality and abortion has placed its website disinformation on the Internet , titled ‘The Dirty Dozen’.It targets Catholics. SPLC claims that the Dirty Dozen are traditionalists who reject Vatican Council II. Yet no Vatican Council II text is quoted by the SPLC to support their claim.

Catholics like me, who attend Holy Mass in the vernacular, know that Vatican Council II says, ‘all people’; Jews included, needed Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water to avoid Hell (Ad Gentes 7).

Vatican Council II also says all those non Catholics, like the SPLC members, who are aware of the Catholic Church and yet do not enter, (Ad Gentes 7) are heading for the place with constant screams and where the ‘worm never dies and the fire is never extinguished’, for all eternity.

In the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 to the Archbishop of Boston, Pope Pius XI affirmed the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, as our Catholic ‘infallible’ teaching. The dogma is in accord with Vatican Council II. Pope Pius XII was saying, like Fr. Leonard Feeney , that every Jew in Boston needs to de facto enter the Catholic Church to avoid Hell and de facto there are no cases of baptism of desire that we can know of. The Letter said ‘in certain circumstances’ those with implicit faith  can be  saved. So this is not the ordinary way of salvation, and it is only known to God, who alone can judge. So, we only have a concept of those saved with implicit faith. So we do not know anyone specifically in Boston who has or could have implicit faith (the baptism of desire, invincible ignorance etc).

De facto everyone needs Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water to avoid Hell and there are no exceptions is the teaching of Vatican Council II, Pope Pius XII, the ex cathedra dogma, thrice defined, of extra ecclesiam nulla salus, Evangelii Nuntiandi of Pope Paul VI, Bishop Richard Williamson and the Society of St. Pius X, the present and past Magisteriums of the Roman Catholic Church, Fr. Leonard Feeney and the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Pope John Paul II…and those mentioned in the SPLC article, The Dirty Dozen. We are all in agreement.

So the SPLC information is false since:

1. It is not only the traditionalists mentioned who hold the common Catholic teaching.

2.  They are all supported by Vatican Council II and they can cite texts as references.

3. The SPLC never cites any Vatican Council II text or Magisterium Documents.

So I  wish the SPLC and its sister organisations, ADL etc, would not impose their values on us Catholics and just allow us to live our Catholic beliefs.

VATICAN SACKED INDIAN CATHOLIC PRIEST FOR HIS CATHOLIC RELIGIOUS BELIEFS: ANNIVERSARY TODAY

It was the first time ever that I walked into the new office of the Vatican’s Pontifical Council for Inter Religious Dialogue (PCID) on the Via Cancelleria in front of St. Peter’s Basilica. I would meet an Indian priest and ask him two questions. It would result in his losing his job and immediately being sent home to India.

The Vatican assuaged him by making him an Archbishop in the former Archdiocese of Cardinal Ivan Dias, the present, Prefect of the Vatican Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples. The Indian priest was the Undersecretary of Cardinal Jean Marie Tauran, Prefect, PCID, who had asked him to leave immediately.

In 1215 Pope Innocent III,in the  Fourth Lateran Council proclaimed ex cathedra that all Jews, and others, need to convert for salvation. Today the Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone says Jews do not have to convert in the present times and that the Good Friday Prayer for their Conversion is not for their conversion .If any priest does say otherwise  he will be dismissed-with no guarantees of being made a bishop.Fr. Felix Muchado from India answered two questions. He said that the Catholic Church teaches that Judaism, Islam etc are not paths to salvation and their members need Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water to go to Heaven an avoid Hell, except for the exceptions, those in invincible ignorance etc. This statement was widely distributed via the internet to Jews, and others, including Rabbi Rosen, who coordinates with the Vatican and the influential Chief Rabbinate of Israel.

After I circulated the report via the Internet the next day I went to the PCID office. Corrado, the receptionist said with a sardonic laugh that Fr. Muchado was no longer there. He had gone to India. When the Italian Lady Secretary of Cardinal Tauran saw me, it was at first as if she saw something terrible. She was so full of emotion and movement. She showed me to the escalator personally, with an air of we-have-to-get-rid- of –this –trouble. She asked me not to come to the office again without phoning. It was she who called Fr.Muchado to meet me the last time I was there. She had asked my to sit in the lounge and then came to remind me that he would be coming to meet me.I was standing in the lounge, she asked me to sit down and wait since it could take sometime since Fr.Muchado was busy.Cardinal Tauran was not in Rome at that time. She asked if I was a priest I said no but I write on the subject of inter religious- dialogue and so I was interested in meeting  the cardinal.I wrote down the questions I wanted to ask and gave it to her.
Now instructions would be given to Corrado to not allow me to enter the premises.

In 1302 Pope Boniface VIII, in the Bull Unam Sanctam proclaimed ex cathedra that every non Catholic needed to convert into the Church yet a Catholic priest with the same message working for the Vatican was being penalised.Fr. Muchado may have not been strictly affirming the Bull Unam Sanctam .I do not know. He said those who are in invincible ignorance etc of course do not have to enter the Church and we can depend on the mercy of God.Here we come to the crucial interpretation of Vatican Council II. If Fr. Muchado was saying that Vatican Council II says de facto a person in invincible ignorance, a good conscience or the baptism of desire is saved and specifically known to us and so does not have convert then he contradicts the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. If he meant Vatican Council II says de jure as a  concept, ‘in certain circumstances’(Letter of the Holy Office 1949 to the Archbishop of Boston relative to Fr.Leonard Feeney) and unknown to us, who cannot judge a person in invincible ignorance, can be saved, then he is  affirming the ex cathedra dogma and Vatican Council II.Vatican Council II would not be a break from Sacred Tradition.

This is a subject which is not a priority with Fr. Muchado’s former employer Cardinal Tauran. The cardinal visited Boston College last year and never took up the case of Bro. Francis Maluf. Bro. Francis was one of the Catholic professors dismissed by Boston College for his Catholic religious beliefs. He was dismissed by the Jesuit Rector of Boston College on the issue of extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

Last September Bro. Francis Maluf, the Superior of the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Richmond, New Hampshire, USA, expired. Cardinal Tauran  remained politically and prudently silent.

Bro. Francis had to face the public apostasy of an Archbishop of Boston and the Jesuits who never finally affirmed the dogma inspite of all their charges against Fr.Leonard Feeney and Bro.Francis Malus MICM.Today in Rome, the Jesuit Rector of  their Seminary at the Chiesa del Gesu will not affirm the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. It's all on Youtube.
Bro.Francis had to withstand a hostile Jewish Left media in Boston which still continues the hate campaign which frightens many cardinals. He stood defiantly in support of the Catholic Faith even when it cost him his job in a University which claims  to be an equal opportunity employer which does  not discriminate on the basis of religion.

Unlike Bro. Francis, today the Vatican Secretary of State, the President of the Italian Bishops Conference, the Prefect for the Pontifical Council for Christian Unity and relations with the Jews  openly reject the dogma, when they say Jews do not have to convert in the present times.

They also avoid saying that Vatican Council II says ‘all people’ with no exception need to convert and enter the Catholic Church to avoid Hell (Ad Gentes 7). They avoid saying that Ad Gentes 7 indicates billions of non Catholics in modern times in the developed world, who are aware of the Catholic Church and yet do not enter are all on the way to Hell. This includes those participating in inter relligious dialogue and ecumenism.

Vatican Council II is in accord with the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.
I hope the Office of the Archbishop of Vasai, India has not clouded the integrity and courage of Felix Anthony Muchado.

Karl Keating’s Catholic Answers still runs away from six questions ?

I have just posted the following report  to Catholic Answers. I hope I will get a reply. This is my second attempt since Sept.2009.

Karl Keating’s Catholic Answers runs away from six questions ?

Closes uncomfortable thread on website.

Apologist Karl Keating’s website Catholic Answers ' Administrator, who was participating in a discussion, was asked if he could answer six questions relevant to the subject. Members, including the administrator, had already posted on the Forum, comments and questions.

The questions and answers developed on the thread ' Vatican Council II says outside the Church no Salvation’.

The questions were:-

(With Reference to the EWTN article)

1) Where is the proof (Roman Catholic Magisterial document) which says that Brother Francis Maluf MICM and Fr. Leonard Feeney say/said de jure that there are no exceptions (i.e. invincible ignorance, baptism of desire etc,) to salvation?

2) Where is the proof that the Catholic Church teaches that de facto there are exceptions to salvation as suggested by the EWTN website in Fr. William Most’s article?

The Letterof the Holy Office 1949  also referred to the dogma. The infallible teaching.

The dogma- according to Church Councils and popes says that all people need de facto to enter the Catholic Church through Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water. All people- means, de facto no exceptions. This has always been the dogma of extra ecclesiam nulla salus. It is an ecumenical point we have in common with the Orthodox Churches.

No more, after 60 years and with clear websites of the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the St. Benedict Center, USA, can we say that de jure (de iure) Fr. Leonard Feeney and Bro. Francis Maluf believed there could be no exceptions(the exceptions include invincible ignorance, baptism of desire etc.)

Otherwise it is slander and calumny. The website of the Richmond, NH Catholic community is clear on doctrine.

The websites of the St. Benedict’s Abbey (Men), Still River and St. Benedict Center (Women) express their Catholic beliefs. They are communities of Fr. Leonard Feeney in the diocese of Worcester USA. They uphold the original teachings of their founder- and the infallible, ex cathedra dogma of the Fourth Lateran Council and others.

De jure there are exceptions. De facto there are none.

The following four general questions related to Catholic Mission doctrine, were also asked of Catholic Answers.

1) Does the Catholic Church teach that non-Catholic religions (Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Islam etc) are not paths to salvation (to go to Heaven and to avoid Hell)? Yes or No.

2) Does the Catholic Church teach that Catholic Faith and Baptism are needed for all people in general, barring the exceptions, for salvation? Yes or No.

3) When I meet a Jew in Boston I can tell him that the Catholic Church teaches that he needs Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water to go to Heaven and avoid Hell? Yes or No.

4) The Letter of the Holy Office to the Archbishop of Boston 1949 said de facto Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water are needed for all people with no exceptions( ‘dogma’, ‘infallible' teaching). However de jure non Catholics can be saved through the baptism of desire and implicit faith? Yes or No

Apologist Karl Keating has answered the first two questions (1&2), in another context, with the answer YES.

The third question refers to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. De facto all people; everyone, needs Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water for salvation and there are no exceptions. It is heresy and a mortal sin to deny this ex cathedra teaching.

Question four (4) refers to the Letter 1949 in which the CDF(Holy Office) supported Fr. Leonard Feeney on the Catholic dogma. The Letter was critical of him and the St. Benedict Center for not being obedient to the Archbishop, who it was believed at that time, was faithful to the dogma. The first half of the Letter focuses on the dogma. The second half on discipline.

GOOD RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN JEWS-CATHOLICS ACCORDING TO VATICAN COUNCIL II

On Sept.22, 2009 Rabbi Segni called for good relations between Jews n Catholics based on Vatican Council II.

Yet Vatican Council II is the basis for evangelisation according to Archbishop Angelo Amato, Prefect of the Vatican Congregation for the Cause of the Saints.

Vatican Council II says all Jews need Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water to go to Heaven (Ad Gents 7, Lumen Gentium 14).

Vatican Council II also clearly indicates that the Rabbi and his educated colleagues in the Rom synagogue are on the way to Hell-since they are aware of the Church and have not entered. (Ad Gentes7).

Vatican Council II says outside the Catholic Church there is no salvation(Ad Gentes 7).The council affirms positively the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

We love all Jews including Zionists, who are opposed by good Jews. We love especially those Jew who live the 10 Commandments an oppose Satanic-evils like homosexuality, euthanasia, pornography, immodesty etc.

The Rabbi Segni has never praised Vatican Council II as interpreted above. Instead on Sept.22 he appealed to Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco to eliminate any signs of anti Semitism, for the Jewish Left. It would be opposed to the Zionist agenda of one worked government with one religion.

So the Empire strikes back!

Catholic priests are being blackmailed.Others are choosing to give up their posts voluntarily.

1. A Secretary at the Pontifical Council for Inter Religious Dialogue, Vatican was dismissed overnight. He is Fr. Felix Muchado from India, who answered two questions. He said in his reply that the Catholic Church teaches that Judaism, Islam etc are not paths to salvation and their members need Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water to go to Heaven an avoid Hell, except for the exceptions, those in invincible ignorance etc. This statement was widely distributed via the internet to Jews, and others, including Rabbi Rosen, who coordinates with the Vatican and the influential Chief Rabbinate of Israel.

2. Father Massimiliano Dei Gaspari F.I was the Recto and Superior of the Church of the Annunziata, Lungotvere, and Rome. He said Lumen Gentium 14 is the ordinary means of salvation and Lumen Gentium 1 the extra ordinary means of salvation. He was removed as Rector. Fr. John, a young new American priest of their community I the new Rector.

3.  There are priests who do not mention the necessity of the Church for salvation but only say belief in Jesus is enough. This is pleasing to the Jewish Left since it means all Jews are saved implicitly through Jesus and the Church and so people do not have to convert for salvation. Mons. Natale Loda is the Rector of the Church San Giuseppe a Capo Le Case, Rome and professor of Oriental Canon Law at the St. John Lateran University, Rome. If he sys ruing his homilies that the Church is necessary for salvation, he could be sued, it is the fear, by the Rabbinical Assembly of Italy whose President is Rabbi Laras. If the John Lateran University did not expel the professor the Rabbinical Assembly could consider the University and the Vicariate of Rome, both on Vatican property, to be violating the anti Semitism laws of Italy which have been placed by the Jewish Left with the cooperation of Italian politicians. It is the New Leftist anti racism laws.

This is the new fascism(neo fascism) in Italy and it is subtle an pervasive and not mentioned by publications like Avvenire, 30 Giorni, Il Timone, Radici Cristiane.

4. An excellent Catholic magazine on Mission was Christ to the World (Cristo al Mondo). It was edited and distributed in Rome and abroad by the Franciscans of the Immaculate. Their office was in the Propaganda Fide building, at Piazza Spagna. The Vicariate of Rome has closed down the magazine it was confirmed yesterday. One of the articles of Christ to the World was titled; Church has not retracted outside the Church No Salvation’.
Restrictions have also been placed on the writings on salvation by Father Peter Damian Fehlner F.I, the American professor and member of their community.
PERSONAL EXPERIENCES
1. I was not allowed to complete my Jurisdiction Final Exam for a Baccalaureate in Philosophy at the University Pontifical Regina Apostolorum (UPRA), Rome. They said I would not be allowed to sit for the Final Comprehensive Exam. This was told to me by Fr. Michael Ryan L.C, the Dean of Philosophy, UPRA and my Spiritual Director. He had told me many times to stop distributing my pamphlets even outside the University premises.

Then when I was staying at Casa Della Pace, Commune di Roma, Grotto Celoni, Rome I was paying 150 Euros a month for three months as rent while attending classes at the University (UPRA).The Administrator Signora Liliana asked me to get a Letter from Fr. Ryan saying I would be studying there at UPRA. She said she would arrange for my resident permit (sojjiorno). She spoke to Fr. Ryan who seems to have told her I would not be allowed to study there. She asked Fr.Ryan to speak to Don Carlo, he was the Parish Priest of a nearby Church in Grotte Celoni and assisted Case della Pace.Don Carlo told me he ws disappointed talking to Fr.Ryan.He commented on the Legionaries of Christ.
Until today I am not permitted to enter the premises of the University(UPRA) and the nearby Legionares of Christ seminary(PIMME ). There address is P.C.I. Maria Mater Ecclesiae,Via Aurelia, 737 – 00165, Rome, Italy,Tel: (+39) (06) 665.261,e-mail: jmduenas@legionaries.org . I lived and studied at PIMME for a month, with the other seminarians as a seminaran.
2. After a month at PIMME,where I was asked to leave, I was accepted by the Pontifical Beda College, the seminary for late vocations in Rome. This is an English seminary under the Catholic Bishops of England and Wales.I was asked to leave there too and was living at Zagarolo, where my bishop visited me. He asked me to contact the Rector of Beda College.
I met the Rector Mons.Roderick Strange and asked him if I could continue to live at the Beda Seminary, and continue my studies in Philosophy at the Legionaries of Christ University(UPRA).They had this facility for students. My bishop would approve of it and ask Propaganda Fide,Vatican to finance me, as they sponsored me in the past.
Mons.Roderck Strange agreed. However there was a condition. He said I would have to give up my beliefs and teaching on extra ecclesiam nulla salus.
I declined.
For the next year I had the opportunity to live and work as volunteer at the Missionaries of Charity Contemplative Centre,Largo Preneste,Rome ( Casa Serena) while I contnued my studies in Philosophy at UPRA.
3. Why could I not be like everybody else Fr. Thomas Williams L.C would ask me. He was the Dean of Theology at UPRA. The same suggestion came from my Spiritual Director Fr. Michael Ryan L.C. I realized before a white statue of Our Lady in the University garden, that it was heresy they were asking of me.
During the last Week of Prayer for Christian Unity I heard Fr.Thomas Williams L.C on Radio Vatican. He still would not say that non Catholics needed to enter the Catholic Church through the Baptism of water and Catholic Faith to go to Heaven and avoid Hell- and this included Protestants.

4.When I stayed at the Missionaries of Charity Contemplative Men’s, Casa Serena, Largo Preneste, Rome Fr. Sebastian Vazhakhala M.C was the Director. I was not welcome there because of my religious beliefs and evangelizing. (The same problem I had at Zagarolo, where the Archbishop in residence was Emmanuel Milingo. There were also two Italian priests living there at that time.) I would not receive the Eucharist at Mass from Fr. Sebastian Vazhakhala and neither from Fr. Subash M.C.

A few years after I left Casa Serena and Fr. Andre Marie M.C was In charge he was phoned and asked if I could stay there for a few weeks during winter. He said yes, I could stay there throughout the winter and asked that I come there and meet him and Fr. Sebastian.

Fr. Sebastian had ‘softened’ a bit and said that now I could come there and attend the prayer services. In the past instructions were given that I was not to enter the Casa Serena premises.

I told Fr. Sebastian that I still had a lot of respect and affection for him but the issue was still the Eucharist. How could I receive the Eucharist from a priest who would not publicly affirm the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus?

At that time when I was staying there (for a year) he was trying to be sincere it would seem to me but was confused with the theology and I too was not very clear at that time? I remember him asking me how I would explain Lumen Gentium 16.

Now Fr. Sebastian would say that he had made a lot of sacrifices for Casa Serena and he did not want the place to suffer. He meant that if I was allowed to stay there could be a risk for them.

He asked me if would continue in this way knowing that I would be ‘opposed by everyone’. I said yes, this would be my cross.” How will it end?” In my crucifixion, I suppose.

5.When I was at the Legionaries of Christ seminary (PIMME) Fr.Andraz Martinez L.C was my Spiritual Director. He was still a friend when I was studying Philosophy at UPRA and was not more at PIMME. One day I met him outside the University (UPRA). He said the Rector of the seminary, PIMME, Fr. Duennas, had sent him to contact my Spiritual Director and mu bishop. He said if I did not stop distributing my leaflets they (Fr. Duennas, Ryan, and Martinez) would ask that my scholarship be stopped and my stay be ended at UPRA. This is how it finally ended.
I once asked Mons. Ignacio Barreiro to speak to them at UPRA. Since he has a bio ethics project ther and knew them.I reminded him that in a University you are free tohold different opinions and beliefes and there was even a Muslim studying there.I should be free tohold my Catholic traditional beliefes  and express them in writing at least outside the University.Mons Barreiro agreed with me.he said he has spoken to them but they were not listening.
The Legionaries of Christ priests I mention here are good people,I still see them as friends.
They were under a lot of pressure. Telephone calls were being made to them protesting my views. There could have been legal threats too.In the sense: why are you allowing this person to study at your University who distributes tracts with a quotation from Dominus Iesus and the CDF Notification on Fr.Dupuis S.J ?
He says the Catholic Church teaches that Islam and Judaism are not paths to salvation and their members need Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water to avoid Hell. This is 'hate', anti-Semitism(racism).
Since the Legionaries of Christ priests themselves did not have a strong Faith, and believed "like everybody else", they gave in to the pressure.

Lionel’s E-News for the week Feb.19-25, 2010 : DON VALERIO BARESI AFFIRMS STRICT INTERPRETATION OF EXTRA ECCLESIAM NULLA SALUS

Lionel’s E-News for the week Feb.19-25, 2010

Find out if the Mass you go for is a sacrilege.
If the priest is in mortal sin St.Alphonsus Ligouri says do not receive the Sacraments from him-unless it is an emergency e.g you have no other Church where you can fulfil your Sunday obligation.
If you go to receive the Eucharist from a priest in public mortal sin the message you are giving him is that he is not going to Hell or even though you know he is on the way to Hell you are acting as if all is well. This is not charity. It is contrary to the teachings of the Catholic Church.Read St.Alphonsus Ligouri, Teologia Moralis Book.3,N.47. The Church still considers him the Father of Catholic Moral theology.

DON VALERIO BARESI AFFIRMS STRICT INTERPRETATION OF EXTRA ECCLESIAM NULLA SALUS

“Convert and believe in the Gospel” said the Parish Priest in Italian as he placed ash above my forehead at the 6 p.m Mass yesterday at the Basilica Sacro Cuore di Gesu, Via Marsala near Termini. After Mass I went into the sacristy and met the Parish Priest Father Valerio Baresi, a Salesian of Don Bosco.

I introduced myself and said: “You said convert and believe in the Gospel”. He smiled and nodded.
I said, “For me the Gospel is Mark 16:16: ‘those who do not believe will be condemned’ He smiled and nodded in agreement.
“I also believe in the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. It means everyone needs to enter the Catholic Church with no exceptions for salvation.", I continued.
"This is the Gospel for me", I added. He smiled and nodded in agreement.
"And also for you?", I asked.
"Yes", he said.
I asked him his name. “Valerio”, he replied. We shook hands both happy and joyful and I left.

So - now if anyone of you (readers) would like to throw stones at Fr. Valerio in the name of Vatican Council II, there is no text to support your heresy, so, ‘Convert and believe in the Gospel!’

If you think I am a heretic because I do not affirm the text (exactly like you) which says a person with a good conscience or in invincible ignorance can be saved, I would say: “I am aware of the text in Vatican Council II, I affirm it, I only interpret it differently from you.It is the difference between salvation which is de facto (your interpretation) and dejure salvation (my interpretation).
So if there are two interpretations of the text then it means the actual text does not say
1) De facto those in invincible ignorance etc do not have to enter the Catholic Church for salvation.

2) De jure (in concept) those in invincible ignorance can be saved, they unknown to us and can only be judged by God.

So there is no actual text in Vatican Council II to support position 1 or 2.

So what do we do?

Find the answer in Sacred Tradition!
Interpret Vatican Council II according to Sacred Tradition!
Interpret Vatican Council II according the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

So if you say that I need to accept that people in invincible ignorance, with the baptism of desire or a good conscience can be saved without the Sacraments, I would say: “I do believe "– but de jure, as a concept, an intellectual possibility, as a possibility known only to God.

So if someone insists that Vatican Council IIis a negation of the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus show him this:

VATICAN COUNCIL II SAYS OUTSIDE THE CATHOLIC CHURCH THERE IS NO SALVATION
Vatican Council II says outside the Catholic Church there is no salvation. Extra ecclesiam nulla salus.
The Catholic Church teaches after Vatican Council II (1965) that all people need to enter the Catholic Church to go to Heaven (Ad Gentes 7, Vatican Council II).
Catholic Faith with the Baptism of water is the normal, ordinary way of salvation for all people (Lumen Gentium 14, Vatican Council II).The Catholic Church is the ordinary way of salvation for all people (Lumen Gentium 14).Non Catholics however can be saved through the extraordinary means of salvation (Lumen Gentium 16).Only God knows who are the non-Catholics saved through the extraordinary means of salvation; the exceptions. We do not know who the exceptions are. We cannot judge. Jesus, the Church, Scripture and Vatican Council II indicate that the priority is Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water for all people…(1)
If someone says that he cannot eveangelize in Rome or Boston or wherever because he does not know who is in invincible  ignorance and who is not, show him this:

Dr. Scott Hahn, Founder, President and Chairman of the Board of The St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology, is one of the world’s most successful Catholic authors and teachers.Dr. Scott Hahn has answered the following three questions with an ‘overwhelming YES’.

1) Does the Catholic Church teach that non Catholic religions, Hindus, Buddhism, Judaism, Islam etc are not paths to salvation (to go to Heaven and avoid Hell)? Yes.
2) Does the Catholic Church teach that Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water are needed for all people in general, barring the exceptions (invincible ignorance ), for salvation? Yes.
3) When you meet a Jew in Boston can you tell him or her that he or she needs Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water to go to Heaven and avoid Hell? Yes.

The Introduction of Dominus Iesus uses the words ‘de facto’ and ‘dejure’. If we use it as key then Church documents become clear- also Vatican Council II

So finally those of you who still say Vatican Council says those in invincible ignorance etc are de facto saved have a problem.
Here is someone who acknowledges these references in Vatican Council II but says it refers to de jure salvation.
So how are you going to prove me wrong?
There is no specific text to support you .All you have is an interpretation - your personal one.
So?
Convert and believe in the Gospel!

(1) VATICAN COUNCIL II SAYS OUTSIDE THE CATHOLIC CHURCH THERE IS NO SALVATION

Jesus, the Church, Scripture and Vatican Council II indicate that the priority is Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water for all people.(1)

So everyone needs to enter the Catholic Church which is the like the only Ark of Noah that saves in the Flood (CCC).Non Catholic religions have good things in them. However they are not paths to salvation. All salvation comes through Jesus and His Mystical Body the Church. Those non-Catholics who know the above information and yet do not enter the Church are oriented to Hell (Ad Gentes 7, Lumen Gentium 14).Those non-Catholics participating in inter religious dialogue, are educated. They know. They are oriented to Hell.

So evangelise!

Outside the Church there is no salvation. Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water are needed for all people. This is Vatican Council II.

No where in Nostra Aetate, Vatican Council II is it said that non Catholic religions are paths to salvation.

Vatican Council II is in harmony with John 3:5, the Church Fathers, Council of Florence, Evangelii Nuntiandi, Redemptoris Missio, Catechism of the Catholic Church, Dominus Iesus, Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith, Notification on Fr. Jacques Dupuis etc.

Don’t let people fool you about Vatican Council II. Check the details and affirm the Faith which does not change.

Jesus called the Catholic Church “…my church…” He told St. Peter that it would prevail against Satan and be there for all time.-L.A

A beautiful testimony of Catholic Faith!

I live during the winter in a Rome Municipal Centre. It’s for people who have no house and are on the streets.

There are some 200 people living here from different countries. In my large stanza there are some nine of us. I have been very happy here.

Over the last four years or more I have been sleeping outside the main Church door of a Church in the centre of Rome. I have been living a quasi eremitic life. I rarely use the telephone (once a year maybe) and never use the postal system.

Poverty is Sacred. You remain closer to God when you live poverty is my experience.

Last night at about 9 p.m I checked in. I signed the register and noticed the dinner. We normally collect our food after signing in and then go to the dining room. I was tired. I walked past the delicious potato paste, steak …and water bottles.

I went to bed early. It was not a day of abstinence for those under 60 years of age.

Today morning at 6.30 am when I was in line for breakfast I looked in the food box. Sometimes there is left over food of the previous night that we can pick up if we want. Today the left over food box was nearly half full!

So many of the poor residents here chose to abstain!

NOT OBLIGATORY TO BELIEVE IN AN EX CATHEDRA DOGMA SAYS PARISH PRIEST AT BASILICA OF SANTA MARIA IN TRASTEVERE ROME

It is not obligatory to believe in an ex cathedra dogma said Father Matteo Zuppi, the Parish Priest of the Basilica Santa Maria in Trastevere,Rom. He indicated that the Mass offered by His Eminence Cardinal Bernard Law was not a sacrilege. The Italian priest was speaking with me on Feb13, 2010 at the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere.

Father Matteo Zuppi said even if a person does not believe in an ex cathedra dogma like extra ecclesiam nulla salus, he can still receive the Eucharist.

There was no particular mention of Cardinal Bernard Law, Archpriest, St. Mary Majors, Rome. Two priests at St. Mary Majors confirmed that it was obligatory for all Catholics to believe an ex cathedra dogma otherwise it would be a sacrilege with reference to the Eucharist. Fr. Silvistrini Emilio and Fr. Magyar Cesky O.P, priests at the basilica, have said that a Catholic who denies an ex cathedra dogma commits a sacrilege. Fr.Magyar hears Confession regularly at the basilica, in a confessional which mention his name and the languages he speaks.

Some six years back at Santa Maria in Trastevere I had spoken to Fr.Matteo Zuppi and he had similar views. I also had informed him about his errors.

Fr.Matto Zuppi still gives the Eucharist at Holy Mass to dissident Andrea Riccardi who denies the dogma along with members of the San Egidio community

On Sept.22, 2009 Bishop Vincenzo Paglia, along with Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco, President of the Italian Catholic Bishops Conference announced that Jews do not have to convert. It was said that the Revised Good Friday Prayer for the Conversion of the Jews, was not for their conversion in the present times. This is contrary to the Bible especially the Gospel of John. It is contrary to ecumenism with all Christians who believe Jesus said Jews need to convert.

It is contrary to the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus rejected by Fr.Matteo Zuppi, Andrea Riccardi and Bishop Vincenzo Paglia, the bishop of Terni-Narni-Amelia, Italy.

On Feb. 13 morning, the same day I met Fr.Matteo Zuppi, Metropolitan Galaktion, of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church in Rome said it was obligatory for all Orthodox Christians to believe in the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. I had met him at the Basilica of San Clemente, Rome a Catholic Church near the Coliseum, where the Orthodox community are allowed to perform their religious services.

Here is the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus affirmed by the Orthodox Churches and the Roman Catholic Church – it is an ecumenical subject Fr.Matteo Zuppi, San Egidio, Bishop Paglia and Cardinal Bernard Law will not endorse.

• “There is but one universal Church of the faithful, outside which no one at all is saved.” (Pope Innocent III, Fourth Lateran Council, 1215.)

• “We declare, say, define, and pronounce that it is absolutely necessary for the salvation of every human creature to be subject to the Roman Pontiff.” (Pope Boniface VIII, the Bull Unam Sanctam, 1302.)

• “The most Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes and preaches that none of those existing outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans, but also Jews and heretics and schismatics, can have a share in life eternal; but that they will go into the eternal fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels, unless before death they are joined with Her; and that so important is the unity of this ecclesiastical body that only those remaining within this unity can profit by the sacraments of the Church unto salvation, and they alone can receive an eternal recompense for their fasts, their almsgivings, their other works of Christian piety and the duties of a Christian soldier. No one, let his almsgiving be as great as it may, no one, even if he pour out his blood for the Name of Christ, can be saved, unless he remain within the bosom and the unity of the Catholic Church.” (Pope Eugene IV, the Bull Cantate Domino, 1441.) – from the website Catholicism.org and “No Salvation outside the Church”: Link List, the Three Dogmatic Statements Regarding EENS)
http://nosalvationoutsideofthecatholicchurch.blogspot.com/
A Sri Lanka priest Fr.Tissa Balasurya OMI was excommunicated by Pope John Paul  II for denying the ex cathedra dogma of the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady.

It may be mentioned that there is no text in Vatican Council II which contradicts the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.Vatican Council II is interpreted as being in accord with the dogma; an infallible teaching. However the Jewish Christian Centre for Learning, Boston College claimed that the Catholic Church rejected the ‘rigorist interpretation’ of this ex cathedra teaching. This claim was repeated often by the Jewish Left media in Boston. There was no correction by Cardinal Bernard Law.

It was claimed that Vatican Council II states those non Catholics who are in invincible ignorance or have the baptism of desire or a good conscience do not de facto have to enter the Catholic Church for salvation; to avoid Hell.Yet nowhere in Vatican Council II is this claim made. There is no text to corroborate this new doctrine. Instead we have interpretations of Vatican Council II, which affirm the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

It was also indicated falsely that we could judge who specifically has a genuine baptism of desire, is in invincible ignorance or, will be judged by Jesus as having a good conscience. There was no clarification by Archbishop Bernard Law.According to Canon Law a cardinal in public mortal sin is to not celebrate Holy Mass without first going for Confession and removing the scandal. The cardinal’s secretary Msgr. Paul B. McInerny has been sent posts from this blog. These posts have also been sent to the cardinal via the religious community working at the basilica. Personal enquiries were made at the sacristy .  ( He can be contacted in Rome at Tel: (+39) 06.698.86800 (+39) 06.698.86800 , fax (+39) 06.698.86817 E-mail: sagrestiasmm@org.va ) He needs to issue a clarification and stop the sacrilege and scandal.
Yet he continues to  celebrate Mass at the basilica. The Mass is a sacrilege. It is the repeated desecration of the Eucharist. A person in a mortal sin of faith is not to celebrate Holy Mass. Even though Jesus is present in the Eucharist it is a scandal and sin in public.

CONGREGATION FOR THE DOCTRINE OF THE FAITH ENDORSES ‘STRICT INTERPRETATION’ OF EXTRA ECCLESIAM NULLA SALUS

The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Vatican and the Orthodox Churches have endorsed the ‘strict interpretation’, the literal and only interpretation of outside the Church there is no salvation (extra ecclesiam nulla salus).

Here is the ex cathedra dogma taught by the Orthodox Churches and the Roman Catholic Church’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, (CDF) whose Prefect is Cardinal William Levada.

• “There is but one universal Church of the faithful, outside which no one at all is saved.” (Pope Innocent III, Fourth Lateran Council, 1215.)
• “We declare, say, define, and pronounce that it is absolutely necessary for the salvation of every human creature to be subject to the Roman Pontiff.” (Pope Boniface VIII, the Bull Unam Sanctam, 302.)
No one, let his almsgiving be as great as it may, no one, even if he pour out his blood for the Name of Christ, can be saved, unless he remain within the bosom and the unity of the Catholic Church.” (Pope Eugene IV, the Bull Cantate Domino, 1441.) – from the website Catholicism.org and “No Salvation outside the Church”: Link List, the Three Dogmatic Statements Regarding EENS) http://nosalvationoutsideofthecatholicchurch.blogspot.com/
During the pontificate of Pope Benedict XVI the CDF issued Responses to Some questions regarding certain Aspects of the Doctrine on the Church which affirmed the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. It was a repetition of Pope John Paul II’s teaching in Dominus Iesus and the Notification on the book by Fr. Jacques Dupuis S.J. It was in accord with Pope Paul VI's Evangelii Nuntiandi and Vatican Council II‘s Ad Gentes 7 and Lumen Gentium 14.Pope Pius XII called it our ‘infallible’ teaching. (Letter of the Holy Office 1949).

In Responses to Some questions regarding certain Aspects of the Doctrine on the Church the CDF states:

Christ “established here on earth” only one Church and instituted it as a “visible and spiritual community”, that from its beginning and throughout the centuries has always existed and will always exist, and in which alone are found all the elements that Christ himself instituted. “This one Church of Christ, which we confess in the Creed as one, holy, catholic and apostolic […].
This Church, constituted and organised in this world as a society, subsists in the Catholic Church, governed by the successor of Peter and the Bishops in communion with him”.the word “subsists” can only be attributed to the Catholic Church alone precisely because it refers to the mark of unity that we profess in the symbols of the faith (I believe... in the “one” Church); and this “one” Church subsists in the Catholic Church.-Responses to Some Questions Regarding certain Aspects of the Doctrine on the Church.(June 29, 2007)
So Responses to Some Questions Regarding certain Aspects of the Doctrine on the Church does not explain are understanding of Church (ecclesiology) as a break from Tradition and extra ecclesiam nulla salus. It repeats the message of Vatican Council II that the Church is a necessity for salvation (Ad Gentes 7, Lumen Gentium 14). We do not separate Jesus from the Church, even though elements of salvation can be present outside the visible boundaries of the church. De facto everyone needs to enter the Catholic Church; it is a necessity for salvation .All non-Catholics need to enter through the ordinary way of salvation which is the baptism of water and Catholic Faith. De facto everyone needs to enter the Church.

De jure (conceptually, in theory, intellectually, in theology) we could debate or discuss exceptions to the need of salvation, those without the baptism of water. However these are exceptions known only to God. They are unknown to us. They are unknown to us since only Jesus can judge. He will decide.

Responses states

“It follows that these separated churches and Communities, though we believe they suffer from defects, are deprived neither of significance nor importance in the mystery of salvation. In fact the Spirit of Christ has not refrained from using them as instruments of salvation, whose value derives from that fullness of grace and of truth which has been entrusted to the Catholic Church”
In ‘certain circumstances’ as Pope Pius XII states (Letter of the Holy Office 1949) those with implicit faith, those who are not Catholics ,can be saved (without Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water). So we cannot interpret ‘It follows that these separated churches and Communities….’ as referring to the ordinary way of salvation. Since only in 'certain circumstances’; exceptionally and known to God only can members of separated Churches and communities be saved without Catholic Faith in the Catholic Church. The ordinary way of salvation is the baptism of water and Catholic Faith. For example the Catechism states that the Catholic Church knows of no way to eternal beatitude other than the baptism of water (given to adults with Catholic Faith). So this is the ordinary way. Yet CCC 1257 also says salvation is not limited to the Sacraments. So here we have the dejure, extraordinary, exceptional means of salvation. In a way it is irrelevant to us since it will be judged only by Jesus.

If ‘“It follows that these separated churches and Communities…’ was a reference to the ordinary way of salvation then it would contradict Vatican Council II. Since Ad Gentes 7, states “all people” need Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water for salvation. All.

If de facto we know specifically, personally, that someone in ‘these separated churches and Communities’ can be saved, then it would contradict the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

So dejure, conceptually we know “It follows that these separated churches and Communities, though we believe they suffer from defects, are deprived neither of significance nor importance in the mystery of salvation. In fact the Spirit of Christ has not refrained from using them as instruments of salvation, whose value derives from that fullness...'-is possible. De jure (conceptually, in theory, intellectually, in theology) we could debate or discuss this possibility.

De facto it is clear that there are no exceptions to ' Christ “established here on earth” only one Church and instituted it as a “visible and spiritual community”, that from its beginning and throughout the centuries has always existed and will always exist, and in which alone are found all the elements that Christ himself instituted. “This one Church of Christ, which we confess in the Creed as one, holy, catholic and apostolic […].’

De facto (in evangelising, in personal contact with non-Catholics) there is no one who specifically has the baptism of desire, who I know is in invincible ignorance or who I can judge has good conscience.

CDF RESPONSES IS A WONDERFUL AFFIRMATION OF THE DOGMA EXTRA ECCLESIAM NULLA SALUS

Last Saturday( Feb.13, 2010)  Metropolitan Galaktion, of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, in Rome said it was obligatory for all members of the Church to believe in the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (outside the Church there is no salvation).

The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Vatican has positively endorsed the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus in Responses to Some questions regarding certain Aspects of the Doctrine of the Church in which it refers to ‘the traditional doctrine’, ‘according to Catholic doctrine’

Here is the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus taught by the Orthodox Churches and the Roman Catholic Church.

• “The most Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes and preaches that none of those existing outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans, but also Jews and heretics and schismatics, can have a share in life eternal; but that they will go into the eternal fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels, unless before death they are joined with Her; and that so important is the unity of this ecclesiastical body that only those remaining within this unity can profit by the sacraments of the Church unto salvation, and they alone
can receive an eternal recompense for their fasts, their almsgivings, their other works of Christian piety and the duties of a Christian soldier. No one, let his almsgiving be as great as it may, no one, even if he pour out his blood for the Name of Christ, can be saved, unless he remain within the bosom and the unity of the Catholic Church.” (Pope Eugene IV, the Bull Cantate Domino, 1441.) – from the website
Catholicism.org and “No Salvation outside the Church”: Link List, the Three Dogmatic Statements Regarding EENS) http://nosalvationoutsideofthecatholicchurch.blogspot.com/
The dogma does not say that those who are in invincible ignorance do not have to de facto enter the Catholic Church. Neither does the dogma say that only those who know about the Catholic Church need to enter for salvation. The dogma says de facto everyone with no exception has to enter the Church to avoid Hell. Everyone. So if anyone mistakenly says de facto those who are in invincible ignorance, have a good conscience or have implicit faith do not have to de facto enter the Church-it is contrary to the dogma. It is also contrary to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith’s Responses to Some questions regarding certain Aspects of the Doctrine of the Church and also to Vatican Council II.

Cardinal William Levada, Prefect,Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith(CDF) and Archbishop Angelo Amato, former Secretary, CDF emphasize in Responses to Some questions regarding certain Aspects of
the Doctrine of the Church:
Christ “established here on earth” only one Church and instituted it as a “visible and spiritual community”, that from its beginning and throughout the centuries has always existed and will always exist, and in which alone are found all the elements that Christ himself instituted. “This one Church of Christ, which we confess in the Creed as one, holy, catholic and apostolic […].

ORTHODOX METROPOLITAN IN ROME TODAY SAYS BELIEF IN EXTRA ECCLESIAM NULLA SALUS IS OBLIGATORY FOR ALL IN THE CHURCH

The Orthodox Metropolitan in Rome said that belief in the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus was obligatory for all  in the Orthodox Church. Metropolitan Galktion confirmed that the dogma  says that everyone needs to enter the Orthdox Church for salvation.
He was speaking with me about 45 minutes back outside the Basilica of San Clemente,Rome. He was there to attend a religious service of the Orthodox Bulgarian community  in a side altar of the Church.
Here is the ex cathedra dogma that the Orthodox Church also affirms like the Roman Catholic Church.

No one, let his almsgiving be as great as it may, no one, even if he pour out his blood for the Name of Christ, can be saved, unless he remain within the bosom and the unity of the Catholic Church.” (Pope Eugene IV, the Bull Cantate Domino, 1441.) - from the website Catholicism.org and “No Salvation outside the Church”: Link List, the Three Dogmatic Statements Regarding EENS) http://nosalvationoutsideofthecatholicchurch.blogspot.com/

The ex cathedra dogma is clear: de facto everyone needs to enter the Church. The dogma does not say only those who are educated need to enter the Church. The dogma does not say that those who are in invincible ignorance do not have to enter the Church.
We know God is merciful and those who are in invincible ignorance will be known only to Him and he will judge them accordingly.

JESUS SAYS IN THE BIBLE EVERYONE NEEDS THE EUCHARIST FOR ETERNAL LIFE: CDF VATICAN STATES PROTESTANTS DO NOT HAVE A VALID EUCHARIST

In John 6 Jesus says everyone needs the Eucharist for eternal life. The Eucharist is essential.
We cannot have the Eucharist without the Catholic Church hence everyone needs the Sacraments in the Church to go to Heaven.

Without the Eucharist there is no eternal life.

The Protestant communities do not have a valid Eucharist and neither do they have Apostolic Succession.Their members need to convert into the Catholic Church. They have a valid Baptism but not the other Sacraments including the Eucharist.

The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith,Vatican in ‘Responses to Some Questions Regarding Certain Aspects of the Doctrine on the Church’ June 29, 2007 stated

‘…these Communities do not enjoy apostolic succession in the sacrament of Orders, and are, therefore, deprived of a constitutive element of the Church. These ecclesial Communities which, specifically because of the absence of the sacramental priesthood, have not preserved the genuine and integral substance of the Eucharistic Mystery cannot, according to Catholic doctrine, be called “Churches” in the proper sense. (Emphasis added)

When John 6 was written there was only one Church whose doctrines are still the same today as at the time of the Apostles- the Catholic Church.

John 6 states that without receiving the Eucharist at Mass, without ‘eating the Body of Our Lord’ one cannot have life everlasting. These are the words of Jesus.

The Eucharist is only available in the Catholic Church. One needs to have Catholic Faith with the Baptism of water to receive the Sacraments-including the Eucharist.

It is only the Catholic Church that has the Petrine Ministry; the successor of St. Peter, the pope is there only in the Catholic Church.

The Orthodox Church, sister churches, broke away from the one, true Church of Jesus in a schism. For salvation their members need to enter the Catholic Church. Those members of the Orthodox Church who are informed and aware that they should enter the Catholic Church and yet do not do so are on the way to Hell.

JOHN CHAPTER 6

32 Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say to you; Moses gave you not bread from heaven, but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is that which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life to the world. 34 They said therefore unto him: Lord, give us always this bread. 35 And Jesus said to them: I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall not hunger: and he that believeth in me shall never thirst.

36 But I said unto you, that you also have seen me, and you believe not. 37 All that the Father giveth to me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me, I will not cast out. 38 Because I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39 Now this is the will of the Father who sent me: that of all that he hath given me, I should lose nothing; but should raise it up again in the last day. 40 And this is the will of my Father that sent me: that every one who seeth the Son, and believeth in him, may have life everlasting, and I will raise him up in the last day.

41 The Jews therefore murmured at him, because he had said: I am the living bread which came down from heaven. 42 And they said: Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How then saith he, I came down from heaven? 43 Jesus therefore answered, and said to them: Murmur not among yourselves. 44 No man can come to me, except the Father, who hath sent me, draw him; and I will raise him up in the last day. 45 It is written in the prophets: And they shall all be taught of God. Every one that hath heard of the Father, and hath learned, cometh to me.

44 "Draw him"... Not by compulsion, nor by laying the free will under any necessity, but by the strong and sweet motions of his heavenly grace.

46 Not that any man hath seen the Father; but he who is of God, he hath seen the Father. 47 Amen, amen I say unto you: He that believeth in me, hath everlasting life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers did eat manna in the desert, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven; that if any man eat of it, he may not die.

51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. 52 If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; and the bread that I will give, is my flesh, for the life of the world. 53 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying: How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 54 Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say unto you: Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you. 55 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day.

54 "Eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood"... To receive the body and blood of Christ, is a divine precept, insinuated in this text; which the faithful fulfil, though they receive but in one kind; because in one kind they receive both body and blood, which cannot be separated from each other. Hence, life eternal is here promised to the worthy receiving, though but in one kind. Ver. 52. If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; and the bread that I will give, is my flesh for the life of the world. Ver. 58. He that eateth me, the same also shall live by me. Ver. 59. He that eateth this bread, shall live for ever.

56 For my flesh is meat indeed: and my blood is drink indeed. 57 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him. 58 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father; so he that eateth me, the same also shall live by me. 59 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead. He that eateth this bread, shall live for ever. 60 These things he said, teaching in the synagogue, in Capharnaum.

61 Many therefore of his disciples, hearing it, said: This saying is hard, and who can hear it? 62 But Jesus, knowing in himself, that his disciples murmured at this, said to them: Doth this scandalize you? 63 If then you shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? 64 It is the spirit that quickeneth: the flesh profiteth nothing. The words that I have spoken to you, are spirit and life. 65 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning, who they were that did not believe, and who he was, that would betray him.

63 "If then you shall see"... Christ by mentioning his ascension, by this instance of his power and divinity, would confirm the truth of what he had before asserted; and at the same time correct their gross apprehension of eating his flesh, and drinking his blood, in a vulgar and carnal manner, by letting them know he should take his whole body living with him to heaven; and consequently not suffer it to be as they supposed, divided, mangled, and consumed upon earth.

64 "The flesh profiteth nothing"... Dead flesh separated from the spirit, in the gross manner they supposed they were to eat his flesh, would profit nothing. Neither doth man's flesh, that is to say, man's natural and carnal apprehension, (which refuses to be subject to the spirit, and words of Christ,) profit any thing. But it would be the height of blasphemy, to say the living flesh of Christ (which we receive in the blessed sacrament, with his spirit, that is, with his soul and divinity) profiteth nothing. For if Christ's flesh had profited us nothing, he would never have taken flesh for us, nor died in the flesh for us.

64 "Are spirit and life"... By proposing to you a heavenly sacrament, in which you shall receive, in a wonderful manner, spirit, grace, and life, in its very fountain.

66 And he said: Therefore did I say to you, that no man can come to me, unless it be given him by my Father. 67 After this many of his disciples went back; and walked no more with him. 68 Then Jesus said to the twelve: Will you also go away? 69 And Simon Peter answered him: Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 70 And we have believed and have known, that thou art the Christ, the Son of God.

71 Jesus answered them: Have not I chosen you twelve; and one of you is a devil? 72 Now he meant Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon: for this same was about to betray him, whereas he was one of the twelve. -Douay-Rheims Bible
