Catholics in Britain associated with the Latin Mass must be aware that many of the leaders and members of the Latin Mass Society and Una Voce are not really interested in proclaiming the Faith, but protecting their family and career interests.They support lies and heresies of the English bishops and the cardinal.They pretend that they are traditionalists but only follow the rubrics and externals of the Latin Mass, without its past ecclesiology.
The Catholic Faith calls for the truth on Vatican Council II and for example Joseph Shaw, cannot proclaim it because it is opposed at leftist Oxford University.So he presents the approved version of Vatican Council II and no one protests.
Vatican Council II really supports supports the past exclusivist ecclesology, an ecumenism of return and Feeneyite extra ecclesiam nulla salus(EENS) but the Latin Mass Societies, Una Voce and priests and nuns, will not say it in public.They are looking after their turf.They do not want to be martyrs.
To end the suffocation of the Church, from within, the truth has to be proclaimed aloud.The Lefebvrists are not really traditionalists, even though the secular media describe them as such.
Lefebvrists Christopher Ferrara and Roberto dei Mattei, like like the modernists at Oxford, wrote books on Vatican Council II using a false premise, to create a rupture with Catholic Tradition( EENS, Syllabus of Errors etc).Now they cannot admit they were wrong. They do not want to affirm Feeneyite EENS and the past exclusivist ecclesiology with there being no known exceptions.
It's business as usual for them. Recently they had another Catholic Identity Conference, in which the truth of the faith was kept hidden, so that they can continue to live comfortably, with error.
Catholics in Britain need to correct this situation. You all cannot depend on the Lefebvrists or Cardinal Nicols to speak the truth about the Catholic faith. They are not going to proclaim the faith.They will allow Catholics to live in ignorance and heresy.It is with this sin,that Mass becomes a sacrilege in every Rite.
Those glossy pictures of the Latin Mass, attractive LifeSite News videos and the conferences at expensive hotels, do not say that there is exclusive salvation in only the Catholic Church.They do not say that BOD, BOB and I.I and LG 8, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc are not practical exceptions to EENS. Instead unknown cases of LG 8, LG 14, LG 16, Gs 22 etc are assumed to be known exceptions to EENS for the traditionalists and liberals in Britain. There are literal cases of BOD, BOB and I.I for them in 2019, who have been saved outside the Church.
This was the mistake of Archbishop Lefebvre and the SSPX bishops. It was also the mnistake of Daphne Mcleod and the editor of the Catholic Truth, in Scotland. Good people but not informed.
We have to go back to Catholic Tradition but explain it with a different perspective, from the present one, we have to change our terms,in some ways, which would be different from Lefebvre and also the Vince Nicols-Beda College version.
It is a fact of life that LG 8, LG 14, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc are not exceptions to the past ecclesiology. We cannot meet or see someone saved outside the Church as such. So Lumen Gentium cannot be in conflict with the past ecclesiology .The Rector ( Master) and professors( fellows) at St. Benet Hall, Oxford University, will not admit this.This is a major theological rupture with the ancient Benedictines at Oxford.
None of the Catholic Lefebvrists know of a Christian saved in imperfect communion with the Church(UR 3). Yet they project Unitatis Redintigratio in Vatican Council II as a rupture with the traditional ecumenism of return.Bishop Bernard Fellay and the SSPX priests would continue to do this, even after being informed. Since for them Archbishop Lefebvre could not be wrong.
All this has to be changed by Catholics and the Lefbvrists are not going to do it.
Young Catholics must find a way out.After 50 years of propaganda and error do not expect Bishop Schneider to do it.
With reference to the interpretation of Vatican Council II we must recognise that there is no difference between, for example, Cardinals Braz de Avez, Ladaria, Kasper and Koch and the late Michael Davies.The same false reasoning is repeated today by the members of Una Voce International and the students and seminarians at the English and Irish college in Rome.
The Catholic Herald, U.K and Fr. John Zuhsdorf and other bloggers are not going to tell Catholics the truth. Another group in England has to be formed . who will do this, whatever the cost.-Lionel Andrades
