John Allen Jr.Massimo Faggioli, Joshua McElwee and Michael Sean Winters had been writing so much on Vatican Council II and now there seems to be a pause. They cannot just go on citing Vatican Council II and ignore me, when I say, before
the Jesuits write new books on Vatican Council II someone has to inform
them that LG 8, LG 14,LG 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc refer to
hypothetical cases only in 2019 and they are not
real and known non Catholics saved outside the Church. So Lumen Gentium
does not contradict the past ecclesiology, LG 16 and GS 22 are not
practical exceptions to Feeneyite extra ecclesiam nulla salus and there is nothing in Unitatis Redintigratio to contradict an ecumenism of return.
Jared
Wicks sj, recently wrote a book on Vatican Council II which was
reviewed by Michael Sean Winters for the National Catholic Reporter. No
one cautioned Wicks. He made the commone mistake.
Before
the National Catholic Reporter, Crux, Commonweal, the Tablet and
Catholic News Service publish reports on Vatican Council II or review
books on the Council they are informed that LG 8, LG 14, LG 16, UR 3, NA
2, GS 22 etc refer to hypothetical cases only in 2019. They are not
real and known non Catholics saved outside the Church. So Lumen Gentium does not contradict
the past ecclesiology, LG 16 and GS 22 are not practical exceptions to
Feeneyite extra ecclesiam nulla salus and there is nothing in
Unitatis Redintigratio to contradict an ecumenism of return.
Usually
the books and reports interpret Vatican Council II irrationally to
create an artifical rupture with Tradition.
If these writers continue to state that Congars, Murray, Rahner, Bea, Ratzinger and other liberals theologians were there at the Council, I would respond, "So what?.The Council supports Feeneyite extra ecclesiam nulla salus".Woops .End of the old story. The 50 year old yarn.
The Amazon Synod Working Paper rejected exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church was a piece of nonsense.Since Vatican Council II supports exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church, for me.
I have been e-mailing my blog posts to Michael Sean Winters and the editorial staff at the National Catholic Reporte. No one responds.
Their liberalism was based upon Vatican Council II and now Vatican Council II is no more there for them to quote.
The could have consulted each other to decide what would be their approach now. Rationally 1) they cannot say that they know of non Catholics saved in 2019 outside the Church. 2)They cannot say that they have seen non Catholics in Heaven without the baptism of water.3) They cannot say that someone in Heaven is also on earth tobe an exception to Feeneyite EENS and the past ecclesiology.4) They cannot meet someone saved with the baptism of desire or invincible ignorance...
So who can they plod on after 50 years, without Vatican Council II ?
Prof. Gavin D'Costa and the University of Bristol, U.K continue to cite Vatican Council II as a rupture with Catholic Tradition. This is academic deception. It is unethical. They have the support of the bishops of Britain.
Gavin interprets Vatican Council II with false premise and so his conclusion is a rupture with the Syllabus of Errors and Tradition.
For political reasons the Bishops Conference of England and Wales support him. This is interpreting Vatican Council II deceptively-Lionel Andrades

These are great days- when I say that Michael Sean Winters and Massimo
Faggioli interpret Vatican Council II and extra ecclesiam nulla
salus(EENS) like the traditionalist Brother Andre Marie MICM- and there
is no denial from them.
