INTRODUCTION
The following exposition of the doctrinal beliefs of the Saint Benedict Center has as its core those propositions extracted from a letter dated March 7, 2017 authored by Brother André Marie, acting as the representative of the Saint Benedict Center, addressed to the Diocese of Manchester and copied to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.
Neither the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith nor the Diocese of Manchester have ever qualified the following beliefs as “unacceptable.”
The following propositions are provided here to lend greater clarity and depth to the doctrinal tenets of the Saint Benedict Center. They are all subject to the “disclaimer” found at the end of this page.
DOCTRINAL BELIEFS
- The members of the Saint Benedict Center believe with Divine and Catholic Faith all those things contained in the Word of God, written or handed on, that is, in the one Deposit of Faith entrusted to the Church, and at the same time proposed as divinely revealed either by the Solemn Magisterium of the Church or by its Ordinary and Universal Magisterium which is manifested by the common adherence of the Christian faithful under the leadership of the Sacred Magisterium, avoiding any doctrines whatsoever contrary to them.1
- We embrace and retain each and every thing which is proposed definitively by the Magisterium of the Church concerning the doctrine of Faith and Morals, that is, each and every thing which is required to safeguard reverently and to expound faithfully the same Deposit of Faith.2
- We adhere with submission of will and intellect to the teachings which either the Roman Pontiff or the College of Bishops enunciate when they exercise their authentic Magisterium, even if they do not intend to proclaim these teachings by a definitive act.3
Lionel: This(above) is written by Brother Andre Marie MICM with good intentions as a Catholic. He wishes to be faithful to the 'Magisterium' of the Catholic Church, represented by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and Pope Francis.
However Pope Francis and the CDF are interpreting Vatican Council II and other Magisterial Documents ( Creeds and Catechisms) with a false premise. In this way a rupture is created with Tradition including the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS).The false premise is a reality in the CDF correspondence.
The error is there in public on the website of the Diocese of Manchester.
Here it is with my comments.

As the Congregation stated in our April 15 letter to you, which the Congregation also shared with Bishop Libasci, the principle "Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus" must be interpreted according to the official doctrine of the Church, as it is summarized with clarity in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (#846-#848) and, more in detail, in the Declaration Dominus Jesus (#20-#22). The Catechism of the Catholic Church emphasizes that all salvation comes from Christ through the Church, which is the Body of Christ, the Sacrament of Salvation (cf. CCC #846).(HYPOTHETICALLY YES. IN REALITY THIS DOES NOT NEGATE EXCLUSIVE SALVATION IN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH ) The paragraph that follows, however, is equally binding, as it considers those who, through no fault of their own, do not know Christ and his Church and states that those too have the possibility of obtaining eternal salvation (cf. CCC #847).(POSSIBILITIES OF SALVATION EXIST ONLY IN OUR MIND. THEY ARE NOT ACTUAL AND OBJECTIVE EXCEPTIONS TO EENS ) This being stated, the Church certainly has a perennial obligation and sacred right to evangelize all men (cf. CCC #848).(YES SINCE ALL NEED FAITH AND BAPTISM FOR SALVATION ACCORDING TO CCC 846.IT CITES AD GENTES 7 UNDER THE SUB TITLE OUTSIDE THE CHURCH NO SALVATION).
In the Declaration Dominus Jesus, issued by this Congregation in the year 2000, it is reaffirmed that one must hold that the Church is necessary for salvation ( cf. #20)(YES OUTSIDE THE CHURCH THERE IS NO SALVATION .AD GENTES 7,CCC 846); that this doctrine must not be set against the universal salvific will of God ( cf. #20); that for non Christians, salvation in Christ is accessible by virtue of a grace, which, coming from Christ and communicated by the Holy Spirit, has a relationship with the Church, and is bestowed by God in ways known to God himself (cf. #20-#21) (AND IT IS UNKNOWN IN PARTICULAR CASES AND SO NOT AN EXCEPTION TO AD GENTES 7 OR THE DOGMA EXTRA ECCLESIAM NULLA SALUS OR THE ATHANASIUS CREED WHICH SAYS ALL NEED CATHOLIC FAITH FOR SALVATION ); and that dialogue with members of other religions cannot substitute the mission of the Church, called to bring salvation to all ( cf. #22).(YES SINCE OUTSIDE THE CATHOLIC CHURCH THERE IS NO KNOWN SALVATION, POSSIBILITES ARE NOT EXCEPTIONS TO THE TRADITIONAL TEACHING ON THE CHURCH HAVING A SUPERIORITY AND EXCLUSIVENESS IN SALVATION AND MEMBERS OF OTHER RELIGIONS ARE OUTSIDE THE CHURCH AND SO ORIENTED TO HELL UNLESS BEFORE DEATH THEY ENTER THE CATHOLIC CHURCH WITH FAITH AND THE BAPTISM OF WATER). -Mons.Giacomo Morandi, Under-Secretary,CDF October 20,2016 CDF Letter to Brother Andre Marie MICM posted on the website of the Diocese of Manchester
The public letter above from the CDF asks Brother Andre Marie MICM and the St. Benedict Center to interpret CCC 847-848 ( invincible ignorance) as referring to known people saved outside the Church and so CCC 847-848 would become objective exceptions to the traditional strict interpretation of EENS. It has to refer to known people since invisible people cannot be exceptions to EENS.
It is there in black and white for over a year on the Internet for all to read .All can read the mistake.
This is irrational and deceptive but is this 'the magisterium' for Brother Andre Marie ?
The CDF could be asked to interpret the Catechism of the Catholic Church and Vatican Council II without the false premise. Then there would be no rupture with the pre-Vatican Council II Magisterium. Also there would be no negation of the dogma EENS and the Athanasius Creed. This would be a Magisterial interpretation of Vatican Council II, the Catechisms and the other Magisterial texts.
But the CDF will not affirm Vatican Council II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church without the false premise and inference.Instead they have approved the sanctions against the SBC which can be read on the website of the Diocese of Manchester.

The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in Rome, in April 2016 and again in October 2016, declared “unacceptable,” therefore erroneous and contrary to Church teachings, the manner with which the Saint Benedict Center and the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary interpret the principle “extra ecclesiam nulla salus,” (outside the Church there is no salvation.) Rome pronounced the matter closed, thus no longer open to dialogue or debate.
Consequently, the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, The Saint Benedict Center, The Saint Benedict Center, Inc., and the Immaculate Heart of Mary School, are placed under strict canonical prohibitions and obligations. It is the most sincere hope of the Bishop of Manchester that all those associated with the Saint Benedict Center and its various entities will rediscover full communion with the See of Peter.
