The interviews of Eric Sammons are still ‘not connecting’, He is not presenting the Church as the only way of salvation in which all need to enter. He is pulled down by Vatican Council II which he does not interpret rationally. So his theology is not ‘absolutist’. His Salvation Spectrum is based upon Vatican Council II interpreted with a fake premise.

It’s the same as that of the liberals.Bishop Robert Barron would support him here. This weakens Eric’s proclamation of the Faith.

It’s not enough to say outside the Church there is no salvation. It has to be qualified :-

1.Vatican Council II is ‘absolutist’ with Ad Gentes 7 affirming the strict interpretation of extra ecclesiam nulla salus ( all need faith and the baptism of water for salvation) and LG 8, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc  are not exceptions  to AG 7.Since they cannot be objective people in 2021 known to be saved outside the Church. We cannot meet or see any one in 2021 saved with the baptism of desire or invincible ignorance and without the baptism of water and Catholic faith.

2.Proclamation is ‘absolutist’  since the traditional exclusivist ecclesiology of the Church, is not contradicted when LG 8, LG 16 etc, are not exceptions to AG 7 and EENS.There is no break with the past interpretation of the Syllabus of Errors of Pope Pius IX.The Catechism of Pope Pius X ( 24Q,27Q) are not contradicted by invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire mentioned in that same Catechism.

3.The call to religious vocations is ‘absolutist’ since Jesus in the Catholic Church is the only way to salvation. So the Catechism of the Catholic Church (n.846,1257) have to be re-interpreted as being 'absolutist' when interpreted with the rational premise.CCC 846 mentions AG 7 which says all need faith and baptism for salvation and we do  not know of any exceptions since 'all who are saved are saved through Jesus and the Church'.

All need the baptism of water for salvation (CCC 1257) and we do not know any exceptions since 'God is not limited to the Sacraments.'-Lionel Andrades
