The SSPX should ask Pope Francis to first accept Vatican Council II.
It is the SSPX which
should be telling Pope Francis and the cardinals to accept Vatican Council II. The
SSPX is in the driving seat since they support Tradition and the Council interpreted
rationally only supports Tradition.
The SSPX must interpret
Vatican Council II rationally and tell Pope Francis to do the same. They are not obliged to be irrational for political reasons.
There is no such thing as
a traditionalist version of Vatican Council. The Council is common for all LG 8, LG 14, LG 16 etc, can only be interpreted rationally. There is only one
normal option.One rational interpretation.
Since the SSPX supports
Tradition and the popes do not- it is the SSPX that has the winning card.

Dr.Joseph Shaw will have written another politically- correct- with- the- Left book on the Latin Mass like those of Peter Kwasniewski. It will be approved by the liberal English bishops.
They interpret Vatican Council II like the Left and so do the Latin Mass Societies and the Federation International Una Voce.
At the Latin Mass they all interpret Vatican Council II irrationally like Pope Francis and the Jewish Left. It is the same at the Novus Ordo Mass.

They will not mention that Vatican Council II can be interpreted rationally and then the Council is not a break with Tradition. Instead they will keep posting on the effect of Vatican Council II on society. This is not denied. Since the Council interpreted irrationally, has to produce this result, which is approved by the liberals.
Every year for so many years they keep repeating the same thing. It is as if we do not know it.
Rorate Caeili, Joseph Shaw, Roberto dei Mattei, Peter Kwasniewski are approved by the liberals since they all interpret Vatican Council II irrationally and not rationally. If they interpreted the Council with LG 8, 14 and L6 16 referring to hypothetical cases only, and so not practical exceptions for the dogma EENS, it would be a disaster for the Left. But then Joseph Shaw would be persecuted.
So now these conservative writers, whom the leftist state; the leftist governments calls ’traditionalists’ interpret the Council, at the Latin Mass, like the liberals do at the Novus Ordo Mass. There is no difference between them and the Sant Egidio community in Rome, the St. Anselm University liturgical group and the Bologna School of Alberto Melloni.
However to their favour, many of them reject the result of the Council interpreted with the irrational premise and inference. This is where they differ with the Left.

It is: Vatican Council and the Catechism of the Catholic Church say outside the Church there is no salvation (as did the old Councils and Catechisms) while LG 8, LG 14, LG 16 etc refer to hypothetical and not objective cases in 1949-2023 and so do not contradict the strict interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus ( outside the Church there is no salvation).
Pope Francis and Cardinal Muller have to affirm the Latin Mass- tradition of the 12th to 16th century, when they choose to interpret Vatican Council II rationally i.e. invisible cases are not visible in real life.LG 8 etc are invisible cases in 2023. There can be no known salvation outside the Church. So there is no theological basis for the new theology, new ecumenism, new ecclesiology, new evangelisation etc.
