The Bishop of Frascati, Italy's pamphlets are unfortunate. They are available in Rome.
The style and contents are confusing. There is no new Revelation but he is using the new doctrine of the visible dead..He assumes we know the dead saved. So did Fr. Hans Kung and Fr. Karl Rahner. They were sure the dead are saved in invincible ignorance etc are known to us. So Lumen Gentium 16 is an exception to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and the traditional understanding.
Having established the new doctrine, the 'new fact' of being able to see the dead on earth they make conclusions and posited them as Catholic teaching.
Since we can see the dead saved there is salvation outside the church for them. So the defined dogma on salvation became obsolete.
2. Since there is salvation outside the Church it means those who are not baptised can be saved . So there is salvation outside the Church for infants.
Since there is salvation outside the church mission must not depend on saving souls from Hell but in showing them the beautiful face of Jesus.
One can expect contradictions in the bishops apologetic material
If you ask two questions they see their whole house of cards crumble. So they don't answer.
It's not their fault . They are preserving the faith even with the limitations set on them The error has been passed on from Boston in the 1940's. The wrong interpretation can also be made of Vatican Council II - and it is being made. They are not aware of the Cardinal Richard Cushing error of the visible dead being an exception to the dogma on exclusive salvation.Others who are aware of the error must want to deal with it but it is difficult
I think we should face it and go forward. We can't claim something is the truth when it is not. We end up with so much of confusion. This shows up in the pamphlets inspite of the good intentions of the good bishop of Frascati -Lionel Andrades
