If they do interpret Vatican Council II without the irrationality then they would be affirming extra ecclesiam nulla salus according to the missionaries in the 16th century.
They do not want to do this. They want to interpret Vatican Council II and EENS with exceptions. This was done by Archbishop Lefebvre and it is continued by the SSPX bishops.
John Salza once spoke along with Cornelia Ferrara at a Fatima Conference and he said that he believed that the dogma of the faith, which Our Lady mentioned at Fatima, was the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.
However Salza will continue to interpret EENS with exceptions. He will not say that there are no physically visible exceptions to EENS. It is the same with Christopher and Cornelia Ferrara.
The dogma of the faith has been lost. May be at some time it will be accepted in Portugal.

Ignatius Press needs to acknowledge that Pope Benedict, Aidan Nicols and so many of their authors have made an objective mistake.
Ignatius Press has still not acknowledged that Pope Benedict's books on Vatican Council II were written with a false premise, inference and conclusion.New books are needed on the Council with the rational premise and inference and tradtional conclusion.
Similarly Ignatius Press has published a book on ecclesiology by Aidan Nicols o.p, Figuring Out the Church, also, with the false premise, inference and conclusion.
Aidan Nicols rejects the old ecclesiocentric ecclesiology of the Catholic Church since he does not interpret Vatican Council II with the rational premise,inference and traditional conclusion.

There is a fundamental mistake in the theology of Vatican Council II. We have to reconcile ourselves with this.The Council Fathers blew it.They made an elementary mistake violating the laws of physics.Upon a false premise and inference they created a new theology. The 16 books of Vatican Council II have an error. They violate the Principle of Non Contradiction. The Council Fathers misunderstood the laws of physics. They wrongly assumed the baptism of desire(BOD), baptism of blood(BOB) and being saved in invincible ignorance(I.I) referred to physical bodies in time and space. They they created a new false theology based upon this irrationality. This cannot be magisterial but is human error. When I say that the baptism of desire (BOD), Baptism of blood(BOB) and invincible ignorance (I.I) are not objective people in 2019, I refer to physics. Physics refers to stationary and moving bodies, acceleration,gravity, force etc.According to Newton's Laws of Physics we humans cannot see someone saved outside the Church with BOD, BOB and I.I ?

BOD, BOB and I.I and EENS and LG 8, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc in Vatican Council II refer to invisible cases in 2019. They are not objective people in the present times.This is a reality every rational adult and professional has to accept. This is the objective understanding of a reality shared by people in general. So if a professional denies it, something is wrong.
