LifeSites News has shown how the Chief Executive Officer of Salt and Light Television, Canada's first national Catholic Television Network,copied the writings of others and made it seem that it was his own.This is intellectual dishonesty.There is also intellectual dishonesty at Human Life International(HLI).It is not plagiarism of texts and is different.
Fr.Shehan Boquet and Fr. Francesco Giordano at HLI, will not admit this.1) We cannot meet or see someone saved in invincible ignorance (I.I),
baptism of desire(BOD) and baptism of blood(BOB) in 2019.We cannot physically see people saved in Heaven.2) Since
there are no cases of I.I,BOD, BOB in our reality, they cannot be
examples of salvation outside the Church.They are not exceptions to
EENS.
This is common knowledge.One does not even have to be a Catholic to know it.But HLI will not admit it.
Since Fr.Francesco Giordano, DIrector of HLI, Rome teaches that BOD, BOB and I.I are exceptions to EENS.ln other words there are known cases of BOD, BOB and I.I in the present times.For him they are objective exceptions to all needing to be members of the Catholic Church to avoid Hell ( for salvation).This is pleasing for the Left.With this ruse Feeneyite EENS is rejected.
But this is intellectual dishonesty.Upon a false premise ( invisible non Catholics-saved are visible) a non traditional and heretical conclusion is created ( outside the Church there is known salvation.So EENS is obsolete).He also implies that this is rational and teaching of the Catholic Church for century. Black is made white.Heresy is projected as orthodoxy.This is a falsehood.
This is how the deception works :-
1.They assume that BOD, BOB and I.I refer to personally known non Catholics saved outside the Catholic Church, without faith and the baptism of water.
2.They imply there is known salvation outside the Catholic Church.
3.They conclude that there are visible and practical exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus(EENS).So all do not need to enter the Catholic Church in the present times(E.g 1965-2019) is their conclusion.
So a new theology is created with a false premise and inference.BOD, BOB and I.I are made exceptions to EENS.
This is what Fr. Francesco Giordano teaches in Ecclesiology at the Univesity of St.Thomas Aquinas ( Angelicum) and Christendom College,Rome.
Fr.Giordano and Fr. Boquet have been informed over the years and they persist with this irrationality and deception.
I am a Catholic and for me BOD, BOB and I.I are not objective exceptions to the dogma EENS as it was interpreted by the Magisterium in the 16th century.
For me the red passages in the Catechism of the Catholic Church do not contradict the blue orthodox passages.I affirm the Catechism, interpreted rationally.
"Outside the Church there is no salvation"
846 How are we to understand this affirmation, often repeated by the Church Fathers? Re-formulated positively, it means that all salvation comes from Christ the Head through the Church which is his Body:
- Basing itself on Scripture
and Tradition, the Council teaches that the Church, a pilgrim now on
earth, is necessary for salvation: the one Christ is the mediator and
the way of salvation; he is present to us in his body which is the
Church. He himself explicitly asserted the necessity of faith and
Baptism, and thereby affirmed at the same time the necessity of the
Church which men enter through Baptism as through a door. Hence they
could not be saved who, knowing that the Catholic Church was founded as
necessary by God through Christ, would refuse either to enter it or to
remain in it.
847 This affirmation is not aimed at
those who, through no fault of their own, do not know Christ and his Church:

which it is impossible to please him, the Church still has the
obligation and also the sacred right to evangelize all men."
For the two priests the red is an exception to the blue. It is the same for Deborah M. Piroch,Director, HLI Public Relations.This is an irrational interpretation of the Catechism and it is heretical.
In principle HLI projects hypothetical and theoretical cases as being known non Catholics saved outside the Church. This is dishonest.
So with this dishonesty, the irrational reasoning, a rupture is created with Tradition ( EENS, Syllabus of Errors etc).
For Boquet and Fr. Giordano have not denied that they project BOD, BOB and I.I as exceptions to EENS.
They have not denied that they dishonestly assumed, even after being informed, that Vatican Council II( LG 14, LG 16 etc) are exceptions to Feeneyite EENS.
LG 16 etc would have to refer to physically visible and personally known people in the present times, for them to be exceptions to EENS.
It is true, that most Catholics make the same error , but they do so in ignorance.Boquet and Giordano persist even after being informed.They have a special interest and so they lie.
Fr. Giordano teaches the lie to seminarians and students at Rome's universities and to Catholics at large.
This is intellectual dishonesty.
The HLI Staff are aware of the lie and promote it since they do not want to affirm Feeneyite EENS, like in the 16th century.They want to create a rupture with the Early Christians and the Early Church Fathers on EENS.None of the Church Fathers, popes and saints, state that BOD, BOB and I.I refer to personally known people.This is implied wrongly by the HLI priests.
HLI also does not want to interpret Vatican Council II in harmony with the strict interpretation of EENS.So they dishonestly project hypothetical and theoretical cases as being objective exceptions to EENS.They will not say that all non Catholics in the USA and the rest of the world need to convert into the Catholic Church for salvation (CDF, Notification, Fr. Jacques Dupuis sj, 2001).
For Fr.Leonard Feeney of Boston there were no literal cases of the baptism of desire etc.Hypothetically, in theory, he accepted the case of the unknown catechumen who sought the baptism of water and died before receiving it. (Bread of Life).
Similarly for Brother Andre Marie MICM, Prior, St. Benedict Center, in the Diocese of Manchester, USA , BOD, BOB and I.I and LG 14, LG 16 etc do not refer to personally known people.They are only theoretical possibilities for us human beings.For him they are not known non Catholics saved outside the Church.Similarly in the Catechism of the Catholic Church n.847 and 848( red passages,above) refer to hypothetical cases only .So CCC 847,848 are not exceptions to CCC 846 for him. They are also not exceptions to EENS.
While AG 7 in Vatican Council II supports Feeneyite EENS for Brother Andre Marie.He is being honest and clear here. There is no deception.He is rational.
The HLI Staff are not commenting on this issue.

It supports a non Catholic ideology, which is an innovation in the Church, and then projects it as the teaching of the Church over centuries.Over the centuries the Church only mentioned BOD, BOB and I.I. It did not state that they refer to personally known people saved outside the Church and so are exceptions to de fide EENS.
If all this is still new for Fr.Shehan Boquet and he does not know about it, then in charity we can give him the benefit of the doubt.But he must admit it is a mistake and issue a correction.
This is not a condemnation of HLI. Their good work on pro life issues is appreciated.
Similarly I do not condemn the Director of Salt and Life Media.If he has issued an apology and received absolution in the Confessional he is re-conciled with God.
It is the same with those accused of child abuse. They will not be allowed to work in a situation, in which they could commit the same sin, but as Catholics, if they admit their sin and are sorry and have received absolution in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, they are forgiven by a Merciful God.They can still go to Heaven.
