Pope Benedict XVI’s objective, factual error in Light of the World (Ignatius) p.107 is contributing to widespread liberalism and dissent in the Catholic Church. Many Catholics have just accepted the assumption that those saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire are defacto, explicit exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and to Ad Gentes 7,Vatican Council II.-Lionel Andrades

LIGHT OF THE WORLD ERROR SHOWS THAT THERE ARE NO REAL DOCTRINAL DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE VATICAN AND THE SSPX

'Light of the World' p.107 expresses Pope Benedict’s personal opinion or is the ordinary magisterium: the pope wrongly assumes those saved in invincible ignorance are known exceptions to the dogma and the SSPX position on ecumenism and non Catholic religions

There could soon be an 'ecclesial rupture' because the Vatican does not want to say that there can be two interpretations of Vatican Council II.

VATICAN-SSPX NEED TO CALL TIME OUT: ERROR IN LIGHT OF THE WORLD DIRECTLY LINKED TO DIFFERENCES IN ECUMENISM, INTER-RELIGIOUS DIALOGUE, RELIGIOUS LIBERTY WHICH MSGR.NICOLA BUX MENTIONED

HOLY FATHER ASSUMES THOSE SAVED IN INVINCIBLE IGNORANCE ARE KNOWN TO US: CONTRADICTS VATICAN COUNCIL I AND II

HOLY FATHER MAKES AN OBJECTIVE ERROR IN WRITING

DID THE POPE REALLY DENY THE FAITH ON THE NEED FOR JEWS TO CONVERT ?

ANIVERSARY OF THE DENIAL OF THE FAITH BY THE MAGISTERIUM ?

The International Theological Commission's position paper Christianity and the World Religions 1997 has an objective factual error and is approved by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger : invincible ignorance is not an exception to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus

INTERNATIONAL THEOLOGICAL COMMISSION ASSUMES ‘SEEDS OF THE WORD’ (VATICAN COUNCIL II ) IN OTHER RELIGIONS ARE KNOWN TO US AND THIS IS AN EXPLICIT EXCEPTION TO THE DOGMA EXTRA ECCLESIAM NULLA SALUS

VATICAN'S INTERNATIONAL THEOLOGICAL COMMISSION MAKES AN ERROR IN ITS POSITION PAPER CHRISTIANITY AND THE WORLD RELIGIONS

Bishop Fellay, Fr.Schmidberger,FSSP,Joseph Fenton seem unaware the baptism of desire is not an explicit exception to the dogma

SISTER FAUSTINA KOWALSKA WAS THE APOSTLE OF DIVINE MERCY BUT SHE DID NOT DENY HELL. SHE PERSONALLY SAW IT AND DESCRIBED IT- -Traditional Latin Mass homily today

During the homily of the Traditional Latin Mass in Rome today the priest briefly spoke about today being Divine Mercy Sunday. He said that though Sr.Faustina Kowalski was the Apostle of Divine Mercy she did not deny Hell. She personally saw Hell and described it for us.
There was a sea of people today at St.Peter’s Square during the Angelus and Pope Benedict XVI greeted them especially and welcomed them. They had come to church of the Divne Mercy, Santo Spirito near St.Peters Square.Bus loads of pilgrims have come here for the feast day.
Yesterday during the last day of the novena they prayed for tepid souls who gave Jesus the most suffering during His Passion. The Litany included a prayer  that souls may avoid the fires of Hell.In her Diary, the Apostle of Divine Mercy describes Heaven, Hell and Purgatory.

BAPTISM OF DESIRE AND INVINCIBLE IGNORANCE ARE DIRECTLY LINKED TO THE SSPX-VATICAN TALKS. IT IS AT THE CENTRE OF THE DIFFERENCES ON ECUMENISM AND OTHER RELIGIONS

The following is a comment I sent to Rorate Caeli on the post We are not here to criticize but to maintain in response to a comment by New Catholic which criticizes any mention of the baptism of desire etc.

New Catholic

The baptism of desire and invincible ignorane are directly linked to the SSPX-Vatican talks. It is at the centre of the differences on ecumenism and other religions.

Do you interpret Vatican Council II as teaching exclusive salvation in only the Catholic Church, which would be close to the SSPX position-or do you assume Vatican Council teaches that there are known cases of persons saved with invincible ignorance etc and so the Church no longer teaches exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church ?

This is at the heart of the issue.

So I am surprised at your reaction.

The liberals say that Vatican Council II has Lumen Gentium 16 ( invincible ignorance/good conscience) as an exception to the defined dogma. Yet common sense tells us that we can never know anyone saved in invincible ignorance. So how can it be an exception to the dogma?

This is what I keep asking SSPX supporters and they tell me that Archbishop Lefebvre said that a non Catholic can be saved in invincible ignorance. Of course he can ! But this is not the issue here.

We accept the possibility but cannot claim that there is any such case in the present times(2012) so the literal intepretation of the dogma stands.

This means the liberals cannot cite anything from Vatican Council II which can contradict the dogma. So we are back to the dogma and to the SSPX position on ecumenism etc supported by Vatican Council II!

RORATE CAELI PULLS DOWN COMMENT: 'WHY CANNOT ALL CARDINALS,BISHOPS, RELIGIOUS COMMUNITIES AFFIRM THE LITERAL INTERPRETATION OF THE DOGMA EXTRA ECCLESIAM NULLA SALUS AND ALSO IMPLICIT BAPTISM OF DESIRE AND BEING SAVED IN INVINCIBLE IGNORANCE'

On the post "We are not here to criticize, we are here to maintain" on the pro SSPX website Rorate Caeli on 14 April, 2012 14:00 this was my comment:-

I maintain why cannot all Cardinals, Bishops,Catholic religious communities Franciscans, Dominicans, Jesuits, Society of St.Pius X etc affirm the literal interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and also implicit baptism of desire and being saved in invincible ignorance, a good conscience, the seeds of the Word etc?

The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith has just to take the first step to resolve the Society of St.Pius X problem by announcing that :

‘the baptism of desire and being saved in invincible ignorance, a good conscience, the seeds of the Word etc are known only to God.’

This is obvious! It is a non controversial statement.Other misundestandings will end.

Example, in the following analysis written by John R. T. Lamont expressly for www.chiesa there are four points of seemingly disunity. (1) In reality there is no disunity.

1.

John R. T. Lamont
"The doctrine on religious liberty, as it is expressed in no. 2 of the Declaration 'Dignitatis humanae,' contradicts the teachings of Gregory XVI in 'Mirari vos' and of Pius IX in 'Quanta cura' as well as those of Pope Leo XIII in 'Immortale Dei' and those of Pope Pius XI in 'Quas primas.'

Lionel:
N.13 Mirari Vos states :'Now We consider another abundant source of the evils with which the Church is afflicted at present: indifferentism. This perverse opinion is spread on all sides by the fraud of the wicked who claim that it is possible to obtain the eternal salvation of the soul by the profession of any kind of religion...'

Vatican Council II does not opppose the encyclical of Pope Gregory XVI (1832) on this point of religious indifferentism. Since Ad Gentes 7 states all need Catholic Faith and the baptism of water for salvation (to avoid Hell). This is the same teaching as the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. There are no known exceptions to this teaching since we do not know any case on earth of a non Catholic saved in invincible ignorance or a good conscience(LG 16). We accept the possibility of a non Catholic being saved in invicible ignorance but just like the Church Fathers, popes, Councils and saints we do not claim that there are defacto known cases. Vatican Council II also does not make this claim. So the Vatican Council II text does not promote religious indifferentism.
