The Gesu al Centro youth mission program is underway in Rome and is organised by the Vicariate of Rome.The participants seem mostly members of the Charismatic Renewal with pro-Medugorje speakers. They focus on Jesus as necessary for salvation, directly or indirectly and exclude the necessity of the Catholic Church for salvation, through Catholic Faith and the baptism of water.
1. They are unable to endorse Cantate Domino, Council of Florence which was one of three ex cathedra dogmas on outside the Church there is no salvation.
2. They refuse to accept Vatican Council II (LG 14,AG 7) which indicates that Catholic Faith and the baptism of water is the ordinary means of salvation.
3. The Letter of the Holy Office 1949 referred to 'the dogma', the infallible teaching'. The dogma Cantate Domino, Council of Florence tells us that every one needs to be a visible member of the Church. The dogma does not mention explicit baptism of desire or invincible ignorance.
4. There is no Church document which says invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire are defacto known to us in personal cases. Neither does any Magisterial text claim that these are ‘exceptions’ to the dogma.
