Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate theologian endorses outside the Church no salvation

Fr. Serafina Lanzetta F.I of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate mentions that outside the church there is no salvation. He endorses the aphorism extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

In the preface of the apologetic journal Fides Catholica Quaderni, published by the Istituto Teologico “Immacolata Meditrix”, Casa Mariana Editrice he mentions the aphorism extra ecclesiam nulla salus. He writes without the Church there is no salvation.

The subject of Fides Catholica Oct 2011 is Fatima, Hell and the Immaculate Heart (Fatima, l’inferno e il Cuore Immacolato) written by Fr.Stefano M. Manelli F.I the founder of the community.

When Father Serafina Lanzetta refers to outside the church there is no salvation he means, outside the church no salvation as interpreted by the Church Councils in the defined dogma.Also as interpreted by the popes in the ordinary Magisterium, Vatican Councils I and II, the Catechisms of the Catholic Church including the present one, the saints and Fr.Leonard Feeney. It is also understood that the baptism of desire and being saved in invincible ignorance or a good conscience are explicit only in Heaven and so are not defacto, known exceptions to the centuries old interpretation of outside the church no salvation.(1)
