FROM ROBERTO DE MATTEI TO THE THEOLOGY DEPTT. OF THE UNIVERSITY PONTIFICIAL REGINA APOSTOLORUM ROME - A FALSE PREMISE IS USED IN THE INTERPRETATION OF VATICAN COUNCIL II

Roberto de Mattei interprets Vatican Council II as a break with the past.Traditionalists and liberals agree with him.

So what's so special?

Mattei is a professor at the Legionaries of Christ's European University in Rome and has still to write a book on how a false premise used in the interpretation of Vatican Council II, has resulted in the modernist version which he criticizes.

Even the professors in the Theology Department of the University Pontifical Regina Apostolorum(UPRA), also of the Legionaries of Christ, use the false premise in the interpretation of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and Vatican Council II.

How can you use a false premise and then talk about Truth, Faith and the Gospel?

My former Spiritual Director Fr.Michael Ryan L.C, a professor of philosophy, also has classes in the theology section of UPRA. Fr. Paolo Scarofoni, L.C., former Rector of UPRA also is on the theology faculty. Fr.Scarafoni presented his thesis at the Gregorian University,Rome on a subject related to other religions.

Some 10 years back when I corrected these professors they complained to my bishop.I am still unwelcome there.

Fr.Thomas Williams L.C is not more there. He was the Dean of Theology.

Fr.Paul Haffner was a professor there at that time. He would vaguely criticize a general attitude towards other religions. He now teaches at the Gregorian University. I asked him to respond to the two questions but have received no answer.

Similarly at the Pontifical International Maria Mater Ecclesia seminary in Rome, of the Legionaries of Christ, the false premise was being used by the faculty and seminarians. This includes priests who are still there.
The professors e-mails are available on the internet. Could someone ask them the two questions for me ? (1)

The two questions are:

1.Do we know any case in 2012 of someone saved in invincible ignorance, a good conscience, the baptism of desire, imperfect communion with the church, seeds of the word, elements of sanctification etc ?

2.Are these cases exceptions the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus ?
