Fr.Leonard Feeney's communities and Cushingism

The Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the communities of Fr.Leonard Feeney in the USA, reject Cushingism when they say there are no known (and unknown) exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. However their concept of the baptism of desire per se is Cushingism.
They interpret Vatican Council II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church as a break, with the literal interpretation of the dogma on salvation. Since they are using Cushingism in their interpretation, perhaps unknowingly.

Also when they defend the dogma and deny there are known exceptions, they  use theology and not philosophy also. The baptism of desire must be followed by the baptism of water (theology). It is never said that there are no known cases of the baptism of desire, they are not visible to us (philosphy). They could also use a philosophical approach e.g subjectivity-objectivity, empiricism etc.

The communities cite the Church Fathers and Church Councils which is good however they could also point out that the error is due to the use of a  false premise in the interpretation of magisterial documents. They defend the dogma theologically when they could also  easily say we do not know anyone saved in invincible ignroance and the baptism of desire in the present  times. They are critical of those who support the baptism of desire , when they could clarify that implicit desire is always implicit and never explicit. When we personally cannot name any case saved with implicit desire, why go into different theologies and scenarios on a hypothetical subject known only to God?

Vatican Council II is criticized  on pro-St.Benedict Center Internet forums(Pascendi, EENS forum). This is a sign of Cushingism. They understand  salvation as being explicit and known to us. They are assuming that the baptism of desire is physically visible to us to be a potential exception to the dogma. They do not differentiate between implicit and explcit-for-us baptism of desire and being saved in invincible ignorance, a good cosncience(LG 16), seeds of the Word(AG 11), elements of faith and sanctification (LG 8 ), good and holy things in other religions(NA) etc.

In a prepared statement for the press the former Jesuit(Fr.Leonard Feeney) added: "The conscience difficulty is that the diocese of Boston, under the auspices of Archbishop Cushing, and Boston College, under the auspices of Father John J. McEloney, S.J., both notably ignorant in the field of Catholic theology ... are teaching that there is salvation outside the Catholic Church." - Father Feeney Is Dismissed From Jesuit Order by Rome (The Harvard Crimson October 29,1949) (Emphasis added)
