Additionally, Vatican II has the distinction of being the only ecumenical Council in Church history to win the world’s approval and similarly, Francis has received praise as no other Pope in history has ever been praised by the Church’s adversaries.-Fr. Linus Clovis
Yes.Since it is the only Council in which an objective mistake was made and it got approved by the magisterium.
Invisible cases ( baptism of desire etc) were assumed to be visible.
Then it was inferred that these invisible cases were visible exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, according to the 16th century missionaries.
The same thing was said in 1949 in the Letter of the Holy Office to the Archbishop of Boston and they got away with it.They made the error official in 1960-65.
It is a fact of life that we cannot see any case of the baptism of desire in 2016 or in 1949. So how can the baptism of desire be relevant or an exception to the traditiona interpretation of EENS, unless we can see ghosts on earth or the deceased in Heaven?
