New information for priests

Today morning I handed out the pamphlet 1 to two priests at the bus stop.One read through the first page and turned to the second page, when my bus arrived and I left.

This was all new information for him.

It was important that they understood the passages on Feeneyism and Cushingism.Then the next time when I meet them on the bus and  when they say that ," Vatican Council II says all need faith and baptism for salvation(AG 7) this is true but a person can be saved in invincible ignorance(LG 16)", I would ask them to be aware of their  Cushingite theology.Their premise is there are known people saved in invincible ignorance and they are saved without faith and baptism. Then they conclude that these 'known people' are examples of salvation outside the Church. So they become  exceptions to Ad Gentes 7 which says all need faith and baptism for salvation.

So their premise decides their conclusion.It has created a new theology which says outside the Church there is salvation.

For me Vatican Council II says all need faith and baptism for salvation  and there are no known exceptions.I am reading the same text as them, but the theology is Feeneyite, which is explained in the pamphlet. LG 16 (invincible ignorance) refers to invisible and unknown people for me in 2018. So being invisible they are not examples of salvation outside the Church.

In this the same way I would tick off LG 8, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc as also not being exceptions to Feeneyite extra ecclesiam nulla salus(EENS).

So for me Vatican Council II is not a rupture with the old ecclesiology of the Church which supported an ecumenism of return and was the basis for the teaching on the Social Reign of Christ the King.
