The Society of St.Pius X(SSPX) is not allowed to use churches in Rome for Holy Mass since they have to interpret Lumen Gentium 8 as a rupture with Tradition and then affirm this irrational conclusion.

They already interpret Lumen Gentium 8 (elements of sanctification and truth/subsist it )  as a rupture with the old exclusivist understanding of salvation.Then they wrongly  reject Vatican Council II being unaware of the false premise and the alternative interpretation.

PROTESTANTS YES,CATHOLICS NO.

Due to this confusion they are not permitted to use for example, the Basilica of St.Camillio de Lellis, Rome, where an ecumenical Way of the Cross will be held tomorrow.Lutherans will participate.

This week a Lutheran Evangelical pastor will lead a meditation and prayer on the Passion of Jesus.

At issue is Catholic doctrine.

On March 1,2018 Cardinal Luiz Ladaria, the new Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith(CDF) confirmed at the Press Conference on Placuit Deo, that Lumen Gentium 8 was to be interpreted as referring to known and visible non Catholics saved outside the Church.Since only with personally known non Catholics saved outside the Catholic Church there could be exceptions to the traditional understanding of exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church. With unknown and invisible people this would not be possible.

FOR THE VATICAN LG 8 WAS AN EXCEPTION TO SSPX GENERAL CHAPTER STATEMENT

So for Cardinal Ladaria, and the present two popes, there is no more the teaching on the Catholic Church having the superiority in salvation.In other words there are known people in 2018 or the past, who have been saved outside the Catholic Church.

Pope Benedict confirmed this in March 2016 (Avvenire) and in 2012 Pope Benedict rejected the SSPX General Chapter Statement which affirmed outside the Church there is no salvation and nor the possibility of salvation.

The Vatican's argument was that LG 8 was an exception to the SSPX Statement.

LG 8 IS A REFERENCE TO A HYPOTHETICAL CASES FOR ME

For me LG 8 refers to a hypothetical case.So it is not an exception to Feeneyite extra ecclesiam nulla salus.LG 8 refers to an invisible person, someone unknown in 2018.
We cannot meet any one today saved with 'elements of sanctification and truth'(LG 8). Nor can we see any one saved outside the Church where the true Church of Christ allegedly subsists(LG 8).

HYPOTHETICAL REFERENCES ARE NOT KNOWN EXCEPTIONS TO EENS IN 2018

Hypothetical references (LG 8, LG 14,LG 16, UR 3, NA 2 ,GS 22 etc) cannot be relevant or exceptions to the Church's dogmatic teaching on the superiority and exclusiveness of salvation in the Catholic Church.LG 8 etc are references to invisible people in 2018.

Cardinal Ladaria made an objective mistake.He saw people in Heaven as being present on earth.Then he assumed that they were examples of salvation outside the Church. So he rejected the traditional interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, defined by three Church Councils.

Catholic priests in Rome who offer the Novus Ordo Mass, agree with Martignoni.Dr.Robert Fastiggi, Prof. Ralph Martin and Prof. Phillip Blosser at the Sacred Heart Major Seminary, Detroit also agree that there are no known cases of the baptism of desire, baptism of blood and being saved in invincible ignorance in the present times (2017-2018).

So if the traditionalists( and the Vatican) wanted, they could still affirm LG 8 and Vatican Council II as not being a rupture with the exclusivist understanding of salvation in the Catholic Church.

VATICAN COUNCIL II INDICATES LUTHERANS AT BASILICA LOST

This would mean that according to Vatican Council II and the dogma outside the Church there is no salvation, the Protestants participating in tomorrow's Way of the Cross are all oriented to the fires of Hell at the time of death. Since they will die without Catholic faith, which includes the Sacraments and the faith and moral teachings which must be followed to avoid mortal sin and maintain Sanctifying Grace.Those who die without Sanctifying Grace are lost forever.

NON CHRISTIANS NEED TO CONVERT ACCORDING TO VATICAN COUNCIL II

Similarly the non Christians who sacrilegously come to receive the Eucharist during Mass at Rome's churches are also oriented to Hell without 'faith and baptism'(AG 7). Vatican Council II indicates all non Catholics in Rome in 2018 are on the way to Hell unless they are incorporated into the Catholic Church as members; with 'faith and baptism'(AG 7,LG 14).

SSPX NEEDS TO AFFIRM LG 8 AS REFERRING TO HYPOTHETICAL CASES ONLY

So if the traditionalists announce that they affirm Vatican Council II with LG 8 referring to only hypothetical cases then there is no rupture with Tradition for them.They will also meet the Vatican's demand to accept Vatican Council II.They can then demand access to Rome's churches and also ask for a personal prelature.

They could then insist that Cardinal Ladaria interpret Vatican Council II rationally and traditionally.-Lionel Andrades
