The Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith(CDF) does not affirm the strict interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS) in harmony with Vatican Council II. He is holding doctrinal talks with the Society of St. Pius X(SSPX) when he should be asked to recant or resign.
Even after being informed Cardinal Luiz Ladaria sj interprets invisible cases of the baptism of desire(BOD), baptism of blood(BOB) and being invincible ignorance(I.I) as visible exceptions to the dogma EENS.So for him and Pope Benedict EENS today is a rupture with EENS as it was interpreted by the Magisterium, and missionaries in the 16th century.
If for political reasons he cannot affirm a traditional and rational Catholic doctrine he should resign.Traditional EENS was defined by three Church Councils and none of them state that unknown people saved in I.I, BOD and BOB were known exceptions to all needing to be members of the Catholic Church for salvation.
For him Vatican Council II contradicts itself (AG 7 vs LG 16) and the Catechism of the Catholic Church is also violates the Principle of Non Contradiction( CCC 1257- every one needs the baptism of water for salvation but some do not ).
He even goes back into time and interprets the Catechism of Pope Pius X ( visible cases of invincible ignorance) are a rupture with the Syllabus of Errors ( ecumenism of return).
So he interprets EENS with unknown cases of BOD, BOB and I.I being known exceptions to EENS according to the Magisterium of the 16th century.
Then he interprets LG 8, LG 16, UR 3 etc in Vatican Council II as being visible and known people saved outside the Church and so they contradict the dogma EENS as it was interpreted in the Middle Ages.
He can choose to interpret LG 8 etc as referring to only hypothetical cases and so Vatican Council II would not be a rupture with the dogma EENS according to the Syllabus of Errors. Yet he want to maintain this rupture withTradition.
He interprets all the Creeds with known for him cases of BOD,BOB and I.I in the present times.This is first class heresy according to the hierarchy of truths of Pope John Paul II.
This is also modernism and violates the Oath Against Modernism.
Inspite of this irrational philosophy, non traditional and bad theology and new doctrines he does not recant and neither does he resign.
He wants the SSPX to accept his heretical and irrational interpretation of Vatican Council II while he will not interpret Vatican Council II as I do, in harmony with other magisterial documents.
For me there is no change in the ecclesiology of the Church before and after Vatican Council II. For him there is a new ecclesiology based on his false premise and inference.
These are objective errors which he and Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger made in two theological papers of the International Theological Commission. They criticized Fr. Leonard Feeney of Boston for not saying unknown cases of the baptism of desire were known and objective exceptions to the traditional interpretation of EENS.
Cardinal Ladaria also wants the SSPX-Vatican doctrinal talks to be held in secret. He is unethical and dishonest.This is a bad example for Catholics.-Lionel Andrades
