Bishop who officiated at Latin Mass in New York interprets Vatican Council II and EENS as a rupture with the theology of the Tridentine Rite and Byzantine Greek Mass of the past centuries.

The  Most Reverend James Massa, auxiliary bishop of Brooklyn, officiated at the Solemn Pontifical Mass for St Pius V.He chooses not to interpret Vatican Council II in harmony with the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, the past ecclesiology and the Syllabus of Errors.

There are no magisterial documents which contradict the strict interpretation of the dogma EENS yet the bishop will not affirm EENS like the the missionaries did at the Traditional Latin Mass in the 16th century.

Bishop James Massa,Executive Director of the Committee ecumenical and interreligious US bishops' conference (2005-2011) is a Consultant to the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue (since 2007). He could never say that the Catholic Church teaches in Vatican Council II(AG 7) and  the Catechism of the Catholic Church(846) that Jews need to convert into the Catholic Church with faith and baptism for salvation. 

So it was the old Mass with the new ecclesiology( theology, ecumenism, evangelisation etc) organised on Saturday at the St. Vincene Ferrer church in New York. It was part of the second annual Lepanto conference according to Rorate Caeili.

It was another example of Pope Francis supporting the old Mass with the new theology on salvation.

The Lepanto Foundation even in Rome supports the old Mass while not affirming exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church.They also support a Christian theology of religious pluralism and salvation as does Bishop Massa. This has been the philosophy and theology of the Lepanto Foundation conference speakers, like John Lamont and Joseph Shaw.

They all remain politically correct with the Left.
