No magisterial document contradicts the 'rigorist interpretation' of the dogma outside the Church there is no salvation. 1 This is new information.
So the Society of Pope Pius X(SSPX) must ask Archbishop Guido Pozzo, Secretary, Ecclesia Dei, Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF), Vatican, to confirm it. Since it means that the SSPX can accept Vatican Council II along with the past exclusive-salvation ecclesiology, only an ecumenism of return and the Syllabus of Errors of Pope Pius IX.The Ecclesia Dei Secretary and the CDF Secretaries, Morandi and Di Noia, would have to do the same. Rome would have to come back to the Catholic Faith.
The SSPX would meet the requirement to accept Vatican Council II but would the CDF do the same ? This would be Vatican Council II interpreted rationally.
The religious community of St. Francis of Paula, the Minim Fathers, in Rome, do not accept Vatican Council II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.They offer Holy Mass in Italian.If they interpreted these magisterial documents rationally they would be affirming Feeneyite extra ecclesiam nulla salus(EENS).
So when they say that they affirm Vatican Council II it is a superficial and irrational interpretation.The Left and the CDF look the other way.
They do not affirm the strict interpretation of EENS which is supported by Ad Gentes 7 ( blue passages). It is not contradicted by any of the red passages in the Council-text.Since the red passages refer to personally unknown people in the present times (2019).
Is the SSPX willing to say that they affirm Vatican Council II and EENS according to the missionaries and Magisterium of the 16th century ? Can they say that Fr. Leonard Feeney was correct and the Holy Office 1949 was wrong ? Fr.Leonard Feeney said that there are no practical cases of the baptism of desire(BOD), baptism of blood(BOB) and being saved in invincible ignorance(I.I). This was how the popes and the saints in the past centuries also looked at BOD,BOB and I.I. It is common sense.Obviously there are no real people known saved with BOD, BOB and I.I.
In his recent video on the Remnant News, the SSPX supporter Michael Matt does not say all this.His world seems to have ended in 1965. He keeps referring to the Vatican Council II Church, as if, theologically, he is not a part of it.2
He does not say that Vatican Council II supports EENS and this is the Conciliar Church today.
He does not say that Lumen Gentium 8 does not contradict the traditional teaching on the Church having the superiority and exclusiveness in salvation.So Cardinal Ladaria was wrong at the Plaquet Deo Press Conference last year. He told a lady reporter of the Assocated Press that LG 8 was an exception to EENS. This is false.There are no such known exceptions this year, last year or over the last 50 years.
We now know that no magisterial document contradicts the Syllabus of Errors of Pope Pius IX on ecumenism and non Christian religions.
No magisterial document today contradicts the Catechism of Pope Pius X which says all need to be members of the Catholic Church for salvation.
Do the SSPX and Michael Matt agree ?
Can they admit that Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre assumed that magisterial documents,especially Vatican Council II, contradicted the rigorist interpretation of the dogma EENS ?
Now we know that Vatican Council II does not mention any exception to EENS.
Does Remnant News agree that no magisterial document contradicts EENS, the past ecclesiology, an ecumenism of return and the Syllabus of Errors ?
The Social Reign of Christ the King was proclaimed based on EENS and the past ecclesiology,which is still intact with Vatican Council II. How many years more must I keep mentioning this before I get a reply from Michael Matt and Christopher Ferrara and Joseph Shaw ?
With no magisterial documents contradicting EENS and Tradition a reconciliation is possible for the SSPX, F.I and the sedevacantists, since Vatican Council II is no more a hurdle.
