Pope Benedict and Cardinal Luiz Ladaria supported a theology of religions ! This is heresy

 62. It is not possible to develop a theology of the religions without taking into account the universal salvific mission of the Church, attested to by Holy Scripture and by the tradition of faith of the Church. A theological evaluation of the religions was impeded over a long time because of the principle extra ecclesiam nulla salus, understood in an exclusivist sense. With the doctrine about the Church as the universal sacrament of salvation or the sacrament of the kingdom of God, theology seeks to respond to the new way of posing the problem. This teaching, which was also welcomed by Vatican Council II, is linked to the sacramental vision of the Church in the New Testament.- Christianity and the World Religions (2007. ITC)  1
Pope Benedict and Cardinal Luiz Ladaria sj are saying here that in the past there could not be a theology of religions since the exclusivist interpretation of extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS) prevented it. But now with unknown cases of the baptism of desire(BOD), baptism of blood(BOB) and being saved in invincible ignorance(I.I) are projected by them, as known exceptions to EENS it is possible.
So with the 'universal salvific mission of the Church, attested to by Holy Scripture and the tradition of faith of the Church' and with the exclusion of EENS, as it was interpreted over the centuries, it is now possible.
A theological evaluation of the religions was impeded over a long time because of the principle extra ecclesiam nulla salus, understood in an exclusivist sense.-Christianity and the World Religions

Now it was no more impeded since 'the principle' and not 'dogma', EENS is no more understood in an exclusivist sense. Since invisible cases of BOD, BOB and I.I are visible exceptions, for them, to the dogma EENS.Unknown non Catholics in our human reality are known and objective exceptions to ' the principle', EENS.
With the doctrine about the Church as the universal sacrament of salvation or the sacrament of the kingdom of God, theology seeks to respond to the new way of posing the problem.-Christianity and the World Religions,International Theology Commission,2007 2

It may be mentioned that the Catholic Church is the universal sacrament of salvation, Jesus died for all and salvation is open to all in potential, however  to receive this salvation all need to enter the Catholic Church (Dominus Iesus 20).

This teaching, which was also welcomed by Vatican Council II, is linked to the sacramental vision of the Church in the New Testament.-Christianity and the World Religions approved by Pope Benedict and Cardinal Luiz Ladaria in 2007

They mean Vatican Council II interpreted with Cushingism and not Feeneyism;  the Council interpreted with a false premise and inference and not without it.
In 2019 we now know that Vatican Council II ( Feeneyite) affirms 'extra ecclesiam nulla salus, understood in an exclusivist sense'.
With an irrational premise and inference they reject the dogma EENS and a rational and traditional interpretation of Vatican Council II and then project a  theology of religions which Pope John Paul II condemned.
This is heresy.
1.They reject the strict and traditional interpretation of EENS by assuming unknown cases of BOD, BOB and I.I are personally known non Catholics. Then they assume that these 'visible and known' non Catholics are examples of salvation outside the Church. So all do not need to members of the Catholic Church for salvation. There are known exceptions for them.
2.They interpret BOD, BOB and I.I as referring to objective and known non Catholics saved outside the Church. If they were assumed to be just hypothetical and theoretical cases, as they are, then they would not contradict the dogma EENS.But they hid this knowledge. It seems as if they had an agenda to follow.
3.They interpert LG 8,LG 14, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc in Vatican Council II, also as referring to personally known people saved outside the Catholic Church. So Vatican Council II becomes a rupture, for them, with EENS, the past ecclesiology, ecumenism of return and the Syllabus of Errors of Pope Pius IX.There is  a new ecclesiology.

In this way they propose a theology of religions.
Now non Catholics can also receive the Eucharist at Holy Mass in Germany and other countries.
The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Notification on Fr. Jaques Dupuis sj.,(2001) was issued because St.Pope John Paul II asked for it.
It was learnt in 2001, that Cardinal Ratzinger did not approve of it.He also did not excommunicate the liberal Archbishop Michael Fitzgerald , who was the head of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, Vatican and who supported a Christian Theology of Religious Pluralism and Salvation along with Fr. Dupuis.

The study of the theme "Christianity and the World Religions" was adopted for study by a large majority of the members of the International Theological Commission. To prepare this study a subcommission was established composed of Bishop Norbert Strotmann Hoppe, M.S.C.; Rev. Barthelemy Adoukonou; Rev. Jean Corbon; Rev. Mario de Franca Miranda, S.J.; Rev. Ivan Golub; Rev. Tadahiko Iwashima, S.J.; Rev. Luis F. Ladaria, S.J. (president); Rev. Hermann J. Pottmeyer; and Rev. Andrzej Szostek, M.I.C. General discussion on this theme took place during several meetings of the subcommission and in the plenary sessions of the International Theological Commission held at Rome in 1993, 1994 and 1995. The present text was approved "in forma specifica" by vote of the commission on 30 September 1996 and was submitted to its president, Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, who has given his approval for its publication.

10. Exclusivist ecclesiocentrism—the fruit of a specific theological system or of a mistaken understanding of the phrase extra ecclesiam nulla salus—is no longer defended by Catholic theologians after the clear statements of Pius XII and Vatican Council II on the possibility of salvation for those who do not belong visibly to the Church (cf, e.g., LG 16; GS 22).-International Theological Commission, Christianity and the World Religions 1997. (1)

(Lionel: Possibilities of salvation are objective exceptions to the strict interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. So there is a new version of EENS. There is also a new irrational interpretation of the baptism of desire, baptism of blood and being saved in invincible ignorance.
So the interpretation of the Catechisms are also changed with this irrationality.)

58. In the face of new problems and situations and of an exclusive interpretation of the adage: “salus extra ecclesiam non est”,(sic)[88] the magisterium, in recent times, has articulated a more nuanced understanding as to the manner in which a saving relationship with the Church can be realized. The Allocution of Pope Pius IX, Singulari Quadam (1854) clearly states the issues involved: “It must, of course, be held as a matter of faith that outside the apostolic Roman Church no one can be saved, that the Church is the only ark of salvation, and that whoever does not enter it, will perish in the flood. On the other hand, it must likewise be held as certain that those who live in ignorance of the true religion, if such ignorance be invincible, are not subject to any guilt in this matter before the eyes of the Lord”-The Hope of Salvation for Infants who die without being baptized(2007. International Theological Commission)

(Lionel: Again possibilities of being saved in invincible ignorance are projected as objective exceptions to the dogma EENS.So EENS is being rejected as it was known to the Magisterium in the 16th century and so is the Athansius Creed which says outside the Church there is no salvation. This is first class heresy in the hierarchy of truths of Pope John Paul II.)

(Lionel: Cardinal Ladaria and Fr. Luiz Ladaria sj are here supporting a theology of religions. This is heretical. They feel they can do it by reintepreting the baptism of desire, baptism of blood and invincible ignorance as exceptions to EENS, in other words they are people known to us human beings and not only God.So the past exlusivist ecclesiology is rejected here and also an ecumenism of return.)
