The Rector(Master) at the St.Benet Hall, Oxford University, supports misinformation on Vatican Council II and Catholic traditional teaching. He overlooks Dr.Joseph Shaw's mistake.
LG 8, LG 14, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc are not practical exceptions to the traditional exclusive ecclesiology of the Catholic Church. Yet this 'a politically correct  mistake' which is being made by Dr.Joseph Shaw and other academics in England. This is the approved philosophy at the St.Benet Hall. The Rector Professor Richard Cooper, overlooks it.

If someone is hypothetically saved how can he or  she be an example of known salvation outside the Church, without faith and baptism? It still is a hypothetical case.
How can someone in Heaven also be on earth at the same time? This is a simple empirical observation. The norm for salvation we know in the Catholic Church is faith and baptism.Where are the practical exceptions  in 2019?
Joseph Shaw will not affirm exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church with no known exceptions in the present times(2019). He contadicts the Bible, Sacred Tradition and the past Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

For example Maike Hickson on Life Sites News reports on a recent interview given by Bishop Athanasius Schneider. He  states:
In the Council's Dogmatic Constitution Lumen Gentium (16), the Council Fathers state: “But the plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator.  In the first place amongst these there are the Muslims, who, professing to hold the faith of Abraham, along with us adore the one and merciful God, who on the last day will judge mankind.”
This is a reference to a hypothetical case. Things hoped for, or speculation with good will. LG 16 does not refer to a personally known non Catholic, saved as such, since 1965.If there was such a person it would only be known to God.We do not and cannot know of a single person saved with invincible ignorance.
So LG 16 does not contradict the past exclusivist ecclesiology of the Church and an ecumenism of return.
But for Bishop Schneider , the liberal ecclesiastics at the Vatican and the faculty at the St. Benet Hall LG 16 is a rupture, with the Syllabus of Errors etc. This is false. It is a lie repeated, again and again.
The expression of the text was “ambiguous” and needed to be “formulated in a different way” to “avoid these applications in the life of the Church, which we also had in the Assisi meeting of Pope John Paul II in 1986 and the other meetings, where even idolatrous religions were invited to pray in their own manner – that is to say in their idolatrous manner – for peace.
There is no ambiguity in Vatican Council II when it is clear that LG 8, LG 14,LG 16, UR 3, NA 2,GS 22 etc refer to only hypothetical cases. So they do not contradict the orthodox passages in Vatican Council II which suppport exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church.

After the Second Vatican Council, according to Bishop Schneider, in addition to the Modernists, there were also some “true members of Freemasonry” who got “high-ranking positions in the Church.” Asked by Mr. Matt about Annibale Bugnini – the architect of the Novus Ordo Mass – Schneider responds: “Yes, and others.” He mentions that some Freemasons might have been among the bishops, cardinals, “and even nuncios.” They “of course, helped the Modernist clergy,” even if these clergymen were not themselves Freemasonic, and they thus “promoted them to high positions of the Church.”
“It is evident that this is a strategy,” Bishop Schneider concludes.
So what? Vatican Council II can still be interpreted in harmony with the strict interpretation of EENS and this is not being done by Bishop Schneider, Joseph Shaw and the faculty at the St. Benet Hall.
And now, under Pope Francis, we witness how, “without shame, real evident heretics, deniers of the Catholic truth, are being promoted to high-ranking Church offices; but they are even given in some way a reward for their betrayal of Christ.”
When Bishop Schneider does not clarify that BOD, BOB and I.I and LG 8 etc are not exceptions to the strict interpretation of EENS, this is also a betrayal. He could be being prudent to  save his interests, just as Shaw has to protect his career.
