For some it refers to an invisible person and for many others it refers to a known and visible non Catholic saved outside the Catholic Church i.e without faith and baptism.So for some Lumen Gentium 16 is not an exception to extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS) and for most Catholics it is an exception.None of the two groups have met anyone saved outside the Church in invincible ignorance.
