Vigano and Kwasniewski and the Lefebvrists today repeat the mistake of Pope Paul VI

Archbishop Carlo Vigano and Peter Kwasniewski do not want to interpret Vaticann Council II as a continuity with Tradition (EENs, Syllabus etc) they want a hermeneutic of rupture with Tradition. Even though the Council Fathers( Cushing, Rahner and Ratzinger) used the false premise to create a rupture with exclusive salvation and Tradition in the Catholic Church, we have a choice. We can avoid the false premise when interpreting the Council and there is the hermeneutic of continuity with Tradition.

Passages in Nostra Aetate are always hypothetical and not objective people in 2020 we have to remember.Lumen Gentium 8,14 and 16 refer to speculative and hypothetical cases always. They are not objective people saved outside the Church.We do not have to interpret what is implicit as being explicit, subjective as objective.This was the mistake of Pope Paul VI  which Vigano and Kwasniewski and the Lefebvrists repeat today.-Lionel Andrades
