Lumen Gentium 16  refers, always, to a hypothetical case. Hypothetical and invisible cases are always theoretical.They cannot be examples of known people saved outside the Catholic Church. So they are not exceptions to EENS, the Athanasius Creed, the Syllabus of Errors of Pope Pius IX and the Catechism of the Catholic Church ( 24 Q, 27Q) etc. -Lionel Andrades
