They are interpreting Vatican Council II with a false premise. So there are exceptions to EENS. So the children are not taught that every one needs to enter the Church for salvation.They are not taught that non Catholics are oriented to Hell without faith and baptism and that this is the teaching of the Church in the past and also in Vatican Council II. Why should non Catholics have to enter the Church when there are alleged exceptions ? With the false premise they interpret LG 16 etc as being exceptions to EENS. Even now those who know do not tell children that LG 16 is not an exception to EENS
