The Tridentine Theology returns at the Latin Mass in
Dijon, France, offered by the diocesan priests when they interpret Vatican
Council II and other Magisterial Documents with a Rational Premise. This is New
Information. We have found the Missing Link. We now know precisely what creates
the hermeneutic of continuity or rupture with Tradition. This does not depend
upon a new theology or my opinion.
We simply use a Rational Premise to interpret Vatican
Council II and then there is a hermeneutic of continuity with the Athanasius
Creed, the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and the Syllabus of Errors of Pope
Pius IX etc.
With this New Information we are back to the old
theology at not only the Latin Mass but also the Novus Ordo Mass. There is a
unity with the past, on doctrine and theology, at all rites and liturgies.
It is important to note that it is the Rational
Premise in the interpretation of Vatican Council II etc, which creates the
hermeneutic of continuity with the past and not the Latin Mass.
With the Rational Premise in the interpretation of extra ecclesiam nulla salus ( baptism of
desire etc), Vatican Council II, the Creeds and Catechisms, we return to the
exclusivist ecclesiology of the Traditional Latin Mass, for example, of the 16th
centuries. Our understanding of Church becomes the same as that of the Jesuits
in the Middle Ages.-Lionel Andrades
