With the Rational Premise we have a hermeneutic of continuity with the past faith and morals, like those of the Jesuits in the Middle Ages. There is no development of doctrine since there is no new theology of Rahner and Ratzinger

The traditional faith and morals comes with the old theology which says outside the Church there is no salvation. But the old theology is discarded with the False Premise which creates exceptions for the past ecclesiocentrism, the traditional exclusivist ecclesiology of the Catholic Church. So there is a New Theology which says outside the Church there is salvation; known salvation. There are visible cases of non Catholics saved with the baptism of desire(BOD), baptism of blood(BOB) and invincible ignorance(I.I) and all without the baptism of water. Only in this way there can be practical exceptions for Feeneyite extra ecclesiam nulla salus(EENS). They have to be physically visible and not invisible, to be exceptions.

So when there is a new theology created by the popes, there can also be new faith and morals. There is the new moral theology and new concepts of salvation and mission.

PRACTICAL CASES

1.If Vatican Council II interpreted with a False Premise can change ecclesiology, then why cannot the Eucharist be given to the divorced and remarried asked Cardinal Walter Kasper. Pope Francis then gave us Amoris Laetitia.

2.On the flight from Abu Dhabi, Pope Francis approved the statement on a plurality of religious salvation, based upon Vatican Council II.It was interpreted with the same False Premise, which creates exceptions for EENS, the Athanasius Creed, the Syllabus of Errors etc.

3. Pope Benedict said that EENS was no more like it was for the missionaries in the 16th century. Since with Vatican Council II,interpreted with the False Premise, there was 'a development of doctrine'. He meant that there was a new theology created with the False Premise i.e. invisible people are visible, invisible and hypothetical cases of the baptism of desire are objective and seen in the flesh. So then it is  inferred by him , that there are practical exceptions for EENS.First comes the false premise and then the false inference.

Now if we use the Rational Premise ( invisible people are invisible, LG 16 in Vatican Council II refers to an invisible  and hypothetical case only) then we return to the old theology, since there are no exceptions for the past ecclesiocentrism . There is no New Theology. The False Premise has been put aside. We return to the traditional faith and morals of the Catholic Church.

With the Rational Premise we have a hermeneutic of continuity with the past faith and morals, like those of the Jesuits in the Middle Ages. There is no development of doctrine since there is no new theology of Rahner and Ratzinger. -Lionel Andrades
