Bishop Athanasius Schneider at Kazakhstan
said there is salvation in only Jesus in the Catholic Church.
So he is affirming the dogma extra
ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS) with no exceptions. He is also affirming Vatican
Council II, Ad Gentes 7, with no known exceptions.
In an interview with Dr. Taylor Marshall he
has said that there are no literal cases of the baptism of desire in the
present times. Taylor Marshall agreed with him. He said there are no explicit
cases of St. Thomas Aquinas’ implicit baptism of desire.
So for Bishop Athanasius Schneider Lumen
Gentium 14(baptism of desire) is a hypothetical and speculative case only. It
is not a practical exception for the dogma EENS. Similarly there are no
objective cases in 2022 of LG 8, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc. These are
invisible cases. So Bishop Schneider chooses the Blue chart, the rational
chart, the premise is rational. Invisible cases are assumed to be invisible.
For him Vatican Council II does not have
any explicit exceptions for the past ecclesiocentrism of the Catholic Church.
So he has said that there is salvation in only Jesus in the Catholic Church. He
affirmed the exclusive salvation of the Church in the Patristic period and the
Middle Ages and later.-Lionel Andrades
