We Catholics are following the old salvation theology of the Church. We cannot create a New Theology by interpreting Vatican Council II irrationally to produce a nontraditional, liberal conclusion.

The old theology is clear on other religions not being ways to avoid Hell and there is nothing new in Vatican Council II to contradict this.

Cardinal Fernandez and the journalists in Rome agree that LG 8, 14, 15, 16,UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc refer to invisible people in 1965-2024.So there are no practical exceptions for the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS), in Vatican Council II.We cannot meet or see someone saved outside the Church in 2024. If anyone was saved as such it would only be known to God. So the old theology expressed in Vatican Council II says all need faith and baptism for salvation (Ad Gentes 7).This is the norm for salvation. We humans cannot know of any extraordinary means of salvation in particular cases.

So I am affirming the old theology of the Church like Cardinal Victor Manuel Fernandez, the journalists in Rome, the theologians at the Ecclesia Mater, Rome Vicariate, the Department of Theology of the Pontifical University of St. John Lateran, Rome- and of course, my Parish Priest Fr. Paolo Bomus and the priests of the Missionaries of Charity of Mother Teresa, Rome.

Politically this could be uncomfortable for some of them but there is no other choice when  you are interpreting Vatican Council II rationally and Magisterially.

They all agree that LG 8,14,15,1,6UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc , refer to only theoretical and speculative cases in 2024, they are not actual people saved as such and known to us.
