The whole parish of Sant Agapito, Rome agrees with me. I have been
sending e-mails of these blog posts to the parish priest, the scouts and others. For them too LG 8, 14, 1, 5, 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc in Vatican
Council II refer to invisible and hypothetical cases in 2024. So it should not
be said that this is a personal view of mine.
For all of them, the Church saying in Vatican Council II, that Judaism
and Islamism are not paths to salvation (AG 7, LG 14) and that LG 8, 14, 15, 16,
UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc do not contradict AG 7, LG 14 and the dogma outside the
Church there is no salvation (Fourth Lateran Council 1215 etc). These Councils did not
mention any exceptions.
So for even the Muslims who come to the parish church, Vatican Council II is saying outside the Church there is no salvation. The Council indicates that Muslims, Jews and other non Catholics, are oriented to the fires of Hell without Catholic faith and the baptism of water.
For the parish, the Council is saying that Mohammad, the Muslim prophet, died without faith and baptism ( AG 7, LG 14) and that he knew about the centuries-old Catholic faith but did not enter ( LG 14). That he is lost forever and other Muslims will follow him, is the teaching of the Catholic Church according to Church Documents inspired by the Holy Spirit. Vatican Council II is consistent with the teachings of the popes and saints over the centuries. There is no denial from any one in the parish.
Even the Islamic and Jewish organizations which are part of inter-faith
dialogue with the Vatican will agree with the parish. LG 8, 14, 1, 5, 16, UR 3,
NA 2, GS 22 etc, are always hypothetical. This is common sense. It is a given
even for a school boy or non Catholic.
There has been no denial from the Prefects of the Congregation for the
Doctrines of the Faith, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger and Victor Manuel Fernandez.
Muslims and Catholics at Sant Agapito would not deny that LG 8,14,1,5,16
etc refer to only hypothetical cases. This is the end of Cardinal Joseph
Ratzinger’s liberal theology. Rome has returned to the past ecclesiology. - Lionel Andrades
