The Auxiliary Bishops of Rome and the Vicar General
agree with me. Invisible cases of LG 8, 14, 15, 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc in
Vatican Council II are not visible examples of salvation outside the Church and
exceptions for the teaching on the Catholic Church having exclusive salvation.
They support me – Lumen Gentium 8 etc are always only hypothetical.
We cannot meet someone saved outside the Church in real life, and, Vatican
Council II does not mention any objective case saved outside the Church.
All the Superiors of the religious communities and
Parish Priests agree with me. The Catholic Church still teaches that Lumen
Gentium 8,14,15,16 etc, refer to unseen people in our human reality. This is a
given. There is no controversy on this point.
This is the view of my Parish Priest Fr. Paulo Boumis –
that LG 8 etc always refer to invisible cases in 2023-2024. This is also the view of the Superiors
of the Missionaries of Charity of Mother Teresa (Contemplative) Brothers, Rome and the
Superior of the Missionaries of Charity of Mother Teresa Sisters, Casalina, Rome.
Pope Francis is my pope and I attend the Novus Ordo
Mass with this rational understanding of Vatican Council II. I cannot be a
liberal. I am restricted by Vatican Council II (rational). It would be the same with
Pope Francis and Cardinal Victor Manuel Fernandes. I am unable to ask them. All the cardinals and
bishops have only one honest option.
I am not offering a new theology. There is no ‘Lionel’s
theology’ but there is ‘Lionel’s insight’ i.e. Lumen Gentium 8 etc are
invisible cases in 1965-2024. So they are not a rupture with the past
ecclesiology; the past ecclesiocentrism. Meanwhile, Ad Gentes 7 and the Catechism of
the Catholic Church 845,846 support the past ecclesiocentrism of the Church while CCC 847-848 (invincible ignorance etc) are not exceptions for CCC 845-846.
SSPX CHAPEL MASS
I was fortunate Last Sunday morning to go for the
Latin Mass at the SSPX chapel in Rome. The priest, Fr.Federico Montani in his homily cited the
Catechism of the Catholic Church - positively. (Miracles never cease?!).
Maybe now the SSPX seminarians studying at the
pontifical universities in Rome will re-interpret Vatican Council II,
rationally, like me. So they could then accept Vatican Council II, the Catechism
of the Catholic Church and Tradition. There would not be any conflict. They
would then make the liberal agenda decadent of the faculty at the Anthonianam,
Santa Croce, Angelicum and Gregorian Universities.
The SSPX seminarians would return to the ecumenism of
return to the Catholic Church, supported by Vatican Council II, rational.
They could now proclaim the Social Reign of Christ the
King in all political legislation, since outside the Church there is no
salvation and all need to be members of the Catholic Church to avoid Hell. This is the conclusion of Vatican Council II, rational (Ad Gentes 7 etc).
They can now proclaim that non Catholic religions are
not paths to salvation and in Heaven there are only Catholics, according to
Vatican Council II ( AG 7) and the Catechism of the Catholic Church (
845, 846, 1257).The Council no more contradicts Tradition. The Catechism of the Catholic Church is in line with the Catechism of Pope Pius X and the Catechism of Trent.
They can now affirm Traditional Mission which is
ecclesiocentric (AG 7) and also Christocentric. They no more have to be only
Christocentric. Since now we know that the baptism of desire and being saved in invincible
ignorance do not contradict Feeneyite extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS). The 1949
Letter of the Holy Office to the Archbishop of Boston confused what was
invisible as being visible and then made the dogma EENS obsolete, with a non traditional conclusion.
All this would be the ecclesiology of St. Catherine
of Siena, after whom the SSPX chapel in Rome is named. We are back to the Magisterium of the 16th century. Vatican Council II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church are an ally. - Lionel Andrades
