How can the National Catechectical Office in Italy tell Catechists to continue to interpret Vatican Council II with a fake premise and then teach it to children with the approval of the pope ? An official correction is needed

Francis: 'No concession' to those who deny Vatican II teachings

ROME — Pope Francis on Jan. 30 urged those charged with passing on the principles of the Catholic faith to consider the teachings of the Second Vatican Council as sacrosanct, saying that to be Catholic one must adhere to the reforms brought about by the landmark event.

Lionel: There is no problem here for me. I accept Vatican Council II. I interpret it without the false premise. The pope uses the irrationality to interpret the Council and so create a break with Tradition. Without the false premise, he would emerge a traditionalist.

____________

"You can be with the church and therefore follow the council, or you can not follow the council or interpret it in your own way, as you want, and you are not with the church," the pontiff said in a meeting with a group of catechists connected to the Italian bishops' conference.

Lionel : I interpret the Council without the false premise and I am in harmony with the popes and saints over the years on extra ecclesiam nulla salus. I am with the past Magisterium. For example, unlike the pope, I am in harmony with the Magisterium of the Church in the 16th centuries. This was the time of the missionaries. It was a golden period in the history of the Catholic Church.

How can I be dishonest and interpret the Council with a fake premise as Pope Francis does ?.

__________

"The council is the magisterium of the church," said the pope. "On this point we must be demanding, severe. The council cannot be negotiated."

Lionel : Yes the Council is the Magisterium of the Church only when interpreted without a false premise. When the Council is interpreted with a false premise, an objective and  factual error emerges. This cannot be the work of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit cannot contradict the past Magisterium and that too with a fake premise.

_____________

"Please, no concession to those who seek to present a catechesis that does not accord with the magisterium of the church," he told the catechists.

Lionel: Agreed if Pope Francis refers to the past catechesis of the Church, over the centuries,  when a false premise was not used to interpret the Creeds and Catechisms, as is being done today, with no denial.

Catechesis today should teach that there is exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church since Ad Gentes 7 says all need faith and baptism for salvation and hypothetical cases of  LG 8,LG 14, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc cannot be practical exceptions to Ad Gentes 7, Vatican Council II. So there is nothing in Vatican Council II to contradict the strict interpretation of EENS.Vatican Council II is in harmony with the Athanasius Creed which says outside the Church there is no salvation.

There is no text in the Council to contradict an ecumenism of return and the Syllabus of Errors of Pope Pius IX. So Catechists today must affirm the Catechism of Pope Pius X( 24 Q, 27 Q) which is in harmony with the Catechism of the Catholic Church ( 845,846 etc).

The Second Vatican Council, called by Pope John XXIII and held in Rome from 1962 to 1965, brought about a number of reforms for the global Catholic Church, including the use of vernacular languages during liturgies and the redefinition of the church as the "People of God."

Lionel: The 'reforms in theology' came only with the false premise. The Council can still be interpreted without the false premise. The Vatican can interpret the Council as I do.I am supported by religious and lay Catholics.I have quoted them on my blog. They are really affirming what really is common sense i.e that there are no objective exceptions to EENS mentioned in Vatican Council since in real life we cannot see a person saved outside the Church, without faith and the baptism of water.

The council's effect has been hotly debated by Catholics in the decades since the event, with some movements now even choosing to go back to a Latin-language celebration of the Mass.

Lionel: We can interpret Vatican Council II without the false premise and return to Tradition irrespective of the Rite of the Mass.I attend Mass in Italian. Affirming the exclusivist ecclesiology of the Church does not depend upon the liturgy.

Francis told the catechists that the church is living through a problem of "selectivity" with regard to the council's teachings, and said it was a similar problem to one experienced after earlier church councils.

Lionel : The present two popes, like Pope Paul VI, are choosing to interpret Vatican Council II with a false premise. This is unethical and not Catholic.A correction needs to be made officially.
