This is a major objective error of the CDF and the present two popes. It needs to corrected

The Saint Benedict Center is a zealous “Feeneyite” group. The longstanding dispute with the CDF is about the dogma of extra Ecclesiam nulla salus, as positively taught today. It's a complex issue, but the Catholic Church does not teach the belief that, unless one is baptised with water and the Trinitarian formula, and is a member of the Catholic Church, there is no hope of going to heaven.

The individuals who work and reside at Saint Benedict Center in Richmond, NH, are men and women who have chosen to live in community having adopted and following their own set of rules. Neither Saint Benedict Center, the Immaculate Heart of Mary School, nor the self-referenced “Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary,” enjoy any recognition, canonical or otherwise, in the Universal Roman Catholic Church or in the Diocese of Manchester. They are not a Catholic organization (de facto or otherwise,) nor can they, or should they, present themselves in such a way. The Immaculate Heart of Mary School is not a Catholic School, nor can it, or should it, present itself as such, or imply that it offers an education rooted in Catholic Tradition.

The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in Rome, in April 2016 and again in October 2016, declared “unacceptable,” therefore erroneous and contrary to Church teachings, the manner with which the Saint Benedict Center and the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary interpret the principle “extra ecclesiam nulla salus,” (outside the Church there is no salvation.) Rome pronounced the matter closed, thus no longer open to dialogue or debate ....

Catholics are not permitted, under any circumstances, to receive the sacraments of the Church at the Saint Benedict Center, Richmond, New Hampshire, and its associated locations, nor should they participate in any activity provided by this group, their school and summer camp.

      • Lionel:The short-standing dispute with the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) is that Vatican Council II and the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS) can be interpreted with or without a false premise and the conclusion is non traditional or traditional.

      • The CDF interprets the Vatican Council II and the dogma EENS with a false premise and I avoid that irrationality.

      • So I hold, what the media calls 'the rigorist interpretation' of the dogma EENS, since LG 8, LG 14, LG 16, UR 3 , GS 22 etc in Vatican Council II are not exceptions to EENS, for me.

      • Similarly the baptism of desire(BOD), the baptism of blood(BOB) and invincible ignorance(I.I) refer to hypothetical and theoretical cases for me.So they are not practical exceptions to EENS. But for the CDF-ecclesiastics, BOD, BOB and I.I are practical exceptions to EENS. So they imply that BOD, BOB and I.I are non hypothetical and theoretical, and instead objective and known non Catholics for them to be practical exceptions to EENS. This is irrational. It is a false premise followed by a false inference and the conclusion is a rupture with Tradition.

      • So the ecclesiastics today are at odds, with the past Magisterium over the centuries. They are also at odds with a rational interpretation of Vatican Council II, the Creeds and Catechisms.

Ad Gentes 7( all need faith and baptism for salvation ) agrees with extra ecclesiam nulla salus( outside the Church there is no salvation) which also agrees with the Athanasius Creed ( all need the Catholic faith for salvation )

The Catechism of the Catholic Church (n.1257) says all need the baptism of water for salvation but God is not limited to the Sacraments.Defacto ( practically) all need the baptism of water for salvation and de jure (in principle, hypothetically, speculatively, theoretically) God is not limited to the Sacraments

The Catechism of the Catholic Church (n.846) states outside the Church there is no salvation (AG 7, CCC 846) and all who are saved are saved through Jesus and the Church. So if anyone is saved through the baptism of desire, baptism of blood and invincible ignorance, outside the Church, it would only be known to God, and so it would not be an exception or relevant to the traditional teaching on all needing faith and baptism for salvation(AG 7, EENS etc) and outside the Catholic Church there is no salvation (CCC 846)

The Decree of Precepts and Prohibitions placed upon the St. Benedict Center, New Hampshire for affirming the strict interpretation of extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS), with no known exceptions, could also be placed upon the other religious communities in the Diocese of Manchester, men and women, if they did not unethically use a false premise to interpret Vatican Council II and create fake exceptions for EENS
