 Vatican Council II interpreted without the New Theology of Pope Pius XII is dogmatic. It supports the strict interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. Pope Pius XII could be considered the founder of the New Theology. The 1949 Letter of the Holy Office indicates that there is known salvation outside the Church. So the traditional ecclesiocentrism of the Church was made obsolete. His Mystici Corporis was Cushingite with the Irrational Premise and not Feeneyite like the Council of Florence 1441.

He accepted the 1949 Letter of the Holy Office which used the Irrational Premise to interpret the baptism of desire and being saved in invincible ignorance. This was Cushingite and not Feeneyite. Then he did not support Fr. Leonard Feeney in public. Pius XII died and did not lift the excommunication
