HOLY FATHER ENCOURAGES GESU AL CENTRO MISSION

The Holy Father has sent a message of encouragement to the Gesu al Centro Mission program in Rome organised by the Vicariate of Rome. He has also at the same time called upon the European bishops for ‘audacity in mission’ and to proclaim the Gospel according to Zenit News (Oct.5, 2011).

However for the Gesù al Centro evangelization is proclaiming Jesus without the Catholic Church.

Jesus founded a Church, he called it ‘my church’ and told St.Peter it would last forever. To be saved from Hell and to gain from Jesus’ Sacrifice every one needs to believe in Him and be baptized into the Church (Nicene Creed). John 3:5. Those who are not in this Church of Jesus will be condemned (Mark 16:16).

When we proclaim the Gospel we must invite people to believe in Jesus and to live the Gospel as interpreted by the Catholic Church over the centuries.

It is the Holy Spirit which has guided the Church to continue to teach that outside this Church there is no salvation (dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus ).

This is the same teaching in Vatican Council II (LG 14, AG 7) and other Magisterial documents (Dominus Iesus 20 etc).

So there can be no true Catholic evangelisation which denies the necessity of the Church for salvation.

Presently in the Gesu al Centro program, the Charismatic Renewal mission in Italy and the Rome Vicariate there is the denial of the need for every one to enter the Church, visibly, through Catholic Faith and the baptism of water for salvation. Since there is also a denial of this teaching in the statements of the Holy Father and the Vatican Curia who have opted for a politically accepted version of the Catholic Faith.

This is a public rebellion against the Bible, the Church Councils, popes, the Magisterium of Pope John Paul II and Vatican Council II.

The secular media and Wikipedia, the encyclopedia on the internet, claim that Lumen Gentium 16 on invincible ignorance is a contradiction of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. There is no Vatican clarification.Discerning Catholics know that there is no explicitly known case of non Catholics saved in invincible ignorance or with the baptism of desire so it does not contradict the dogma outside the Church there is no salvation. Also there is no Magisterial text which says that the baptism of desire or invincible ignorance is explicit instead of implicit.

Also when the pope repeats that all those who are saved are saved through Jesus and the Church it does not contradict the centuries old teaching of the Councils, popes and saints that every one with  no exception needs to be a visible member of the Church to avoid Hell.

Venerable Pope Pius XII in the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 referred to 'the dogma', 'the infallible teaching'. The dogma, the infallible teaching's text indicates all non Catholics in Boston and the rest of the world are oriented to Hell unless they convert into the Catholic Church. This is not clearly proclaimed by the Vatican.Confusion over Catholic mission is allowed to spread. 

So how can there be a true proclamation of the Gospel when this issue is not clarified  Vatican ? -Lionel Andrades
