When Vatican Council II is interpreted rationally it is not a rupture with the Athanasius Creed, the Syllabus of Errors and the past Catechisms. Now there is an obvious rupture.

When EENS is not contradicted by Vatican Council II the ecclesiology in the Church today is the same as the saints who founded the great religious communities. Now there is a theological and doctrinal rupture with the ecclesiology of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Dominic, St. Theresa of Avila and countless others.

Presently the Congregation for the Docttrine of the Faith, the present two popes, and the traditionalists and conservatives, interpret magisterial documents with Cushingism instead of traditional Feeneyism. This creates what Pope Benedict called the hermeneutic of rupture with the past. He himself interprets the Council with the irrational premise and so creates a rupture with the past.
This error needs to be corrected.
