 Pope Benedict thinks that there is known salvation outside the Church, as if we can meet these people. Then with the expected false inference he does away with traditional Mission . Based upon the false premise he has created the politically approved New Evangelisation, New Ecumenism etc. Without the false premise he would not have the New Theology which he considers magisterial and divinely revealed. The present magisterium contradicts the past Magisterium on a faith issue.

With the false premise the dogmatic definition of EENS has been changed. 

If he did not use the false premise, the Church today would be saying that there is no rupture with the past Magisterium on EENS. There would be no 'development' and this would still be the old Magisterium of the Catholic Church, inspired by the Holy Spirit.-Lionel Andrades
