Dr. Joseph Shaw is a liberal and that's putting it mildly.That he goes for the Latin Mass in Latin does not change anything. Even the English bishops offer a Mass which they wrongly call the Traditional Latin Mass(TLM). Pope Francis approves it.

1.The FIUV presents Jesus as necessary for salvation without the necessity of being a member of the Catholic Church for salvation. This was probably approved by Archbishop Augustine di Noia and Ecclesia Dei.

2.As a theology, the FIUV supports Cushingism( hypothetical cases of the baptism of desire, baptism of blood and being saved in invincible ignorance are non hypothetical and objective in the past times) instead of Feeneyism ( hypothetical cases of BOD, etc are just hypothetical and not objective).

3.For the FIUV there is known salvation outside the Church( visible cases of BOD, BOB and I.I) and so there are practical and objective exceptions to 16th century extra ecclesiam nulla salus(EENS) or EENS( Feeneyite). So there is no more an ecumenism of return and an exclusivist ecclesiology of the missionaries of the 16th century.So this is not the Traditional Latin Mass of the past.I have mentioned this to Joseph Shaw over the years  and philosophically and theologically,he has no response.

Instead he says that I am boring.This is how the Catholic liberals respond when they are in un-.defendable position.-Lionel Andrades
