The mistake in the New Theology was to assume that there was known salvation outside the Catholic Church. This was false. There cannot be any exception to extra ecclesiam nulla salus(EENS). Since only God can know if someone is saved outside the Catholic Church without the Sacraments.We personally cannot know of anyone
