 My communication with Massimo Faggioli, John Allen, Michael Sean Winters and Joshua McElwee indicate that the whole Catholic Church can break away from the 55 -plus- years interpretation of Vatican Council II.

The Council is Feeneyite with Ad Gentes 7. LG 8, LG 16 etc are not practical exceptions.

The Council does not contradict the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. Since GS 22, NA 2, UR 3 etc refer to only hypothetical people. They are theoretical cases only.

We have to re-look at LG 8, LG 14, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc as being only hypothetical cases. They are not examples of known people saved outside the Church. So they are not practical exceptions to Tradition( EENS, Athanasius Creed, Syllabus of Errors of Pope Pius IX etc.

The liberal French bishops can find themselves affirming Tradition once they understand how the Council can be interpreted without the false premise. It is the same for the Creeds and Catechisms and EENS.- Lionel Andrades

The French bishops have to be shown that Vatican Council II can be interpreted without the false premise. They will all emerge Feeneyites and traditionalists. There is no other rational choice
