The French bishops have to be shown that Vatican Council II can be interpreted without the false premise. They will all emerge Feeneyites and traditionalists. There is no other rational choice

The French Bishop's Statement on Summorum Pontificum and the Traditional Latin Mass mentions  a ' mentality against Vatican Council II '( interpreted with the false premise) among priests who offer Mass in Latin.

Of course they reject this version of the Council with good reason.I support them.

However with the false premise, the liberalism of the French bishops is supported. So they reject Tradition.

These bishops, aware of the liberal- conservative divide in the Church, want on controls 'on the other group', those who oppose Vatican Council II ( with the false premise).

This is the problem created by the 55 year old interpretation of the Council by the liberals and Lefebvrists.

But there has been a new development.

There has been another interesting turn of events recently which has a bearing on the statement of the French bishops.

This is an interesting turn of events someone commented in a e-mail message to me today.

In my communication with Massimo Faggioli, John Allen of Crux, Michael Sean Winters and Joshua Elwee of the National Catholic Reporter, they all emerge Feeneyite and conservative. They are unable to contradict or reject Vatican Council II interpreted without the false premise.

They understand what I have been writing and obviously they cannot say that LG 8, LG 14, LG 16 , UR 3 etc refer to personally known, objective people in 2021. So they are forced to accept GS 22, NA 2 etc in Vatican Council II as being only hypothetical.

When they are hypothetical, for these liberal writers, then there are no  practical exceptions to Feeneyite EENS and the Syllabus of Errors of Pope Pius IX.

Feeneyite Massimo Faggioli is supporting the Syllabus of Errors which he criticised a few years back ?!

Yes. He indicates that the progressivist-conservative divide ends in the Catholic Church when Vatican Council II is interpreted without the false premise.

Similarly the French bishops have to be shown that Vatican Council II can be interpreted without the false premise. They will all emerge Feeneyites and traditionalists.

There is no other rational choice.

So the priest who offers the Traditional Latin Mass and the Novus Ordo Mass will be affirming Tradition like the traditionalists today.-Lionel Andrades
